The AITO M7 EREV Long-Range variant has commenced delivery from Seres' Longxing super factory in Chongqing on February 4. Priced between 299,800-319,800 yuan, the model measures 5080/1999/1780mm with a 3030mm wheelbase, offering five- and six-seat configurations. Power comes from a 1.5T range-extender (118kW maximum output) delivering 327km CLTC electric range and 1690km combined range. Equipment includes Huawei Qiankun ADS 4 advanced autonomous driving, dual-chamber air suspension, and continuous damping control. The M7 has surpassed 400,000 cumulative deliveries, accounting for over 40% of AITO's total sales, supported by a service network spanning 400+ user centers and 700+ experience centers across 220+ cities.

The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) Regional Forum, held in Liverpool for the first time, brings together UK automotive leaders to explore leveraging the shift to zero emission mobility for new business and growth in the North West. Since 2021, global brands have invested £2.8 billion in the region, transforming factories to produce electric vehicles and components, directly creating 20,000 jobs. The North West is crucial to UK automotive manufacturing, producing one-seventh of the country's vehicles last year, equivalent to over 140,000 units. The forum will discuss attracting further investment and creating new business opportunities to boost regional economic development.

Lee Motors, an established BMW dealership group in northern Malaysia, has officially opened its new Retail.NEXT showroom for BMW and MINI brands in Alor Setar, Kedah. The relocated 4S centre, located at 218 Jalan Gangsa in Kawasan Perusahaan Mergong II, spans 50,000 sq-ft and adheres to BMW's latest global retail concept. The facility features a sales and service lounge, vehicle handover area, hospitality zone, and Reception at Terminal for Customers (RATC), alongside comprehensive aftersales services including maintenance, spare parts, authorised body and paint repair, and financial services, staffed by a dedicated team of 50 professionals. To mark the opening, Lee Motors is offering complimentary BMW Advance Car Eye dashcams for the first 15 BMW bookings and free MINI Advance Car Eye units for all MINI purchases in February 2026, plus low interest rate financing options. The showroom operates daily from 9am to 5:30pm, with the service centre open Sunday through Friday.

Ford has announced that the new model year Kuga will feature BlueCruise hands-free driving technology from April, making the semi-autonomous system available on one of Europe's most popular SUVs. As the first such system approved in Europe, BlueCruise covers approximately 95% of highways across 16 markets, enabling "hands-off, eyes-on" driving in designated Blue Zones. The technology integrates with Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control to manage steering, acceleration, and braking. Ford offers flexible access through one-time purchase or monthly/annual subscriptions. The upgraded Kuga also features a 700W B&O Premium Audio system and enhanced SYNC 4 infotainment with streaming capabilities, alongside PHEV, HEV, and EcoBoost powertrain options.

Stellantis has announced the export of the Peugeot 408 from its Gurun plant in Malaysia to Taiwan, marking the third Asian market for the locally-assembled model following Thailand in 2024 and Cambodia in 2025. The export variant features an updated 1.6-litre PureTech turbo engine meeting Euro 6 standards, delivering 225 hp with a 168 kg kerb weight. Supported by a 1.5 million euro investment, the Gurun facility has undergone manufacturing line upgrades, including specialised R&D for powertrain calibration and localised parts development. Isaac Yeo, MD of Stellantis ASEAN, stated the company is transforming Gurun into a key regional hub, targeting exports of 280,000 vehicles to 20 Asia Pacific countries by 2028. The plant is capable of producing full EVs, ICE models, and mild hybrids, and will also commence CKD assembly of Leapmotor EVs, starting with the C10 SUV following a dedicated 5 million euro investment.
