MINI COOPER Electric Launches Limited Edition "Green Trail" Colour Scheme
On May 22, 2025, MINI launched the limited edition "Green Trail" colour scheme for the MINI COOPER Electric, with two configurations priced at 167,800 and 197,800 yuan respectively, limited to 52 units nationwide. The new model retains the MINI family design style, featuring iconic round headlights, an octagonal grille, and matrix LED taillights. The roof is available in a limited edition "Floating White" colour, paired with a green body for a youthful and stylish look. The interior features the MINI OS 9 operating system, supporting eight "experience modes" and a smart personal assistant. Powertrain options include a 135 kW (184 hp) motor for the base model and a 160 kW (218 hp) motor for the higher-spec model. The entire range is equipped with a 51.5 kWh battery pack, offering CLTC ranges of 452 km and 456 km depending on the configuration.

Omoda Jaecoo Malaysia is offering a May sales promotion for its Jaecoo J7 and J7 PHEV models. Customers who purchase a new J7 or J7 PHEV before May 31 will receive a 5-year free maintenance package from the factory or opt for a low loan interest rate of 0.8%. Buyers of the J7 PHEV will also enjoy a 10-year/100,000 km battery and engine warranty and can purchase an additional 5-year maintenance package for RM3,000. The J7 features a 1.6L turbocharged petrol engine with 194 hp and 290 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DCT transmission, available in FWD and AWD variants, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 9.2 seconds. The J7 PHEV, launched in February, combines a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 347 hp and 525 Nm of torque, with a fuel consumption of 4.77 L/100 km under NEDC testing.
Nissan Launches All-Electric Sixth-Generation Micra; Set for European Release in Late 2025
Nissan has unveiled the all-electric sixth-generation Micra, set to go on sale in Europe in late 2025. As one of four new EVs Nissan plans to launch in Europe by 2027, the Micra is built on the CMF-B EV (AmpR Small) platform shared with the Renault 5 E-Tech. It offers two powertrain options: a base 40-kWh battery with 122 PS (121 hp) and 225 Nm of torque, and a higher-spec 52-kWh battery with 150 PS (148 hp) and 245 Nm. The WLTP range is up to 310 km for the 40-kWh variant and 408 km for the 52-kWh variant. The Micra supports DC fast charging at up to 100 kW (52-kWh battery) or 80 kW (40-kWh battery), with a 15-80% charge time of 30 minutes. Inside, the Micra features a driver-focused dashboard with a 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster and touchscreen, NissanConnect infotainment with Google integration, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. The exterior offers 14 color combinations and draws inspiration from the Concept 20-23, with distinctive front and rear ends.

The Zunjie S800, the brand's first flagship large car, will officially launch on May 30. Priced between 1 million and 1.5 million yuan, the vehicle is available for pre-order with a 20,000-yuan deposit. The S800 offers both extended-range and pure electric versions, with dual and triple motor configurations. Measuring 5480/2000/1536 mm with a wheelbase of 3370 mm and a curb weight of 2859 kg, the interior features a brown color scheme, wood trim, wireless charging, crystal knobs, and a HUAWEI SOUND audio system. The vehicle supports eight major features, including super cruise and super privacy. The rear features a multifunctional center console with a foldable table, temperature-controlled cup holders, a compressor fridge, and a fingerprint-locked storage box. The cabin also includes a four-zone climate control system.
