The Beijing BJ Star Platinum 5X has been spotted in real-world images, positioned as a mid-to-large SUV offering fuel, PHEV and pure EV powertrains. The fuel version features a square front end with a waterfall grille, while PHEV/EV variants use a closed front face. Dimensions are 4,865/2,000/1,910mm with a 2,875mm wheelbase. Interior offers a 15.6-inch dual-screen layout. Li Auto's product line head Li Xinyang announced the new Li i6 will launch at the end of October instead of late September, with delivery timeline unchanged. The new i6 has completed MIIT filing. Exterior receives minor adjustments aligning with the L9 and i9 family design, featuring semi-hidden door handles and 20/21-inch wheels. Dimensions are 4,950/1,935/1,655mm with a 3,000mm wheelbase. It debuts Li Auto's self-developed 5C battery and Mahle chip, with 5C ultrafast-charging cells produced by partners Xinyangda and Zhongxin Aviation, while Pack assembly is handled in-house. The new Geely Galaxy E5 has launched with 5 variants priced at 97,800-137,800 yuan. The key change is switching from FWD to RWD, with lidar and Qianli Haohan H5 ADAS. Dimensions are 4,630/1,920/1,670mm with a 2,745mm wheelbase (RWD). Interior features a 15.4-inch 2.5K central screen and 10.2-inch instrument with FlymeAuto 2. ADAS supports urban/highway NOA and memory parking. The RWD model produces 245kW (85kW more than current model) based on 800V architecture with 60.22-70.01kWh batteries delivering 530/550/635km range and 6C fast charging. A camouflaged prototype of Proton's turbocharged S70 facelift has been spotted testing on Malaysia's KESAS expressway. The refreshed model will receive redesigned taillights with segmented light guides, a revised rear bumper and quad tailpipes from the X50 to emphasize Proton's "Malaysia's sporty sedan" positioning. New wheels appear to be carried over from the original S70 Flagship. Power is expected to continue the current 1.5L turbo engine. The interior may receive updates matching the facelifted X50, including a larger touchscreen and enhanced centre console storage. Expected launch next year.

The RWD Standard Range features a 58.3kWh LFP battery with 445km WLTP range, 163kW/280Nm rear motor, supporting 11kW AC and 193kW DC charging. The RWD Long Range has a 71.2kWh battery delivering 520km range with 183kW motor. The AWD Performance Ultra at AUD53,900 features dual motors (285kW/431Nm combined) with 440km range and XNGP autonomous driving. Entry variants include a 15.6-inch screen, 26.8-inch HUD, 50W wireless charging, 256-color ambient lighting and Level 2 ADAS.
