SAIC Volkswagen has announced its vehicle lineup for the Greater Bay Area Auto Show, with the Passat ePro and Tiguan L ePro scheduled for launch on May 29 and the ID. ERA 5S sedan making its official debut. The Passat ePro features refined exterior styling with a cleaner, more premium aesthetic, powered by a 1.5T EVOII dedicated hybrid engine paired with an electric motor and TQ251 transmission, delivering 1,468km CLTC combined range and 3.6L/100km fuel consumption under depleted battery conditions. GAC Trumpchi has released official images of the Xiangwang M8 PHEV L, a mid-to-large MPV featuring the latest Yipin Qilin family design language. BYD Group has confirmed its next global model, the Fangchengbao Tai 7 seven-seater SUV, will be exported under the main BYD brand as the Ti7—unlike the Tai 3, which becomes the Denza B3 overseas. Already on sale in the Middle East and headed to the UK, the Ti7 shares design cues with its Bao 5 and Bao 8 stablemates including an upright body, wraparound glasshouse, rectangular split headlights with L-shaped DRLs, chunky squared wheel arches, and a 32.5-litre external storage box mimicking a spare tyre.
