The model features a boxy, angular design with rectangular headlights and roof-mounted LiDAR, along with a short overhang, long wheelbase layout. Built on a unibody structure with double wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension, the SUV represents a differentiated positioning within Huawei's Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance. Huawei's Yu Chengdong previously confirmed the launch timeline for this year, citing positive consumer feedback from market research.

Chery Group's premium NEV brand Lepas has signed distribution agreements with 20 key partners in Malaysia ahead of its market launch. The brand plans to establish at least 30 outlets by year-end, with the L8 and L6 models spearheading its entry in the first half of 2026. Built on Chery's global NEV platform accommodating ICE, hybrid and fully electric powertrains, the lineup includes the L4, L6 and L8. BYD's new full-size SUV, the Han, is expected to make its official debut in May with pricing anticipated as early as June, according to industry sources. The model will form a dual flagship lineup alongside the Tang, for reference, the Tang EV was previously announced with pre-sale pricing between 250,000 and 320,000 yuan. Based on unofficial renderings circulating online, the Han is expected to adopt BYD's latest family design language shared with the Tang, featuring a full-width light bar and vertical air vents with LED daytime running lights on the lower bumper. Voyah has announced its new full-size SUV, the Taishan X8, will officially launch on May 22. Pre-sales opened earlier with five trim levels priced between 302,900 and 389,900 yuan, accumulating over 40,000 orders within just 13 days. The vehicle features Voyah's family design language with a closed grille, brand logo, and slim lighting units, measuring 5,200/2,025/1,814 mm with a 3,090 mm wheelbase. SAIC Motor Malaysia has confirmed that the CKD-assembled MG S5 EV at EPMB's Pegoh plant in Melaka will be exported to South America, with shipments commencing soon. Production commenced in March with a monthly capacity of 120-180 units, targeting annual output of 1,500-2,000 units in 2026. The locally-assembled variant offers significant upgrades over the May 2025 CBU version, with rear-mounted motor output increased to 205 PS and 350 Nm—gains of 35 PS and 100 Nm.
