Chery, China's top car exporter, announced plans to establish an R&D center in Paris to develop a Europe-specific small city car tailored to local consumer preferences. The move marks Chery's strategic pivot from its SUV-focused European entry—via Omoda and Jaecoo brands—into the continent's iconic compact segment. "We want to build a French car for the French," stated Hanbang Yu, Chery France director, emphasizing the company's commitment to understanding regional design tastes. The initiative targets France's significant small car market, positioning Chery to compete against established European urban runabouts like the Fiat Cinquecento and Renault Twingo on their home terrain.

GAC AION has officially launched the N60 compact SUV, built on the AEP3.0 dedicated EV architecture. The model is offered in three variants priced from RMB 109,800 to RMB 129,800, with limited-time discounts available. Standard equipment includes LiDAR and 4D millimetre-wave radar across all trims, with range options of 410 km, 510 km, and 610 km. Launch incentives comprise financial subsidies, trade-in allowances, lifetime battery warranty for the first owner, and a four-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty.

Built on the GAC AEP3.0 dedicated EV platform, the vehicle features an all-new design language by former BMW i8 designer Ye Binghuan, measuring 4,615/1,883/1,673 mm with a 2,775 mm wheelbase. Standard equipment includes LiDAR and 4D millimeter-wave radar, powered by WeRide's end-to-end large model, enabling NDA full-scenario advanced driver assistance across highways, urban and rural roads, along with a passenger-side zero-gravity seat.

The Geely Galaxy M7 compact SUV will launch on April 28 with pre-sale prices ranging from RMB 139,800 to 156,800. Built on the GEA Evo architecture, it features the Galaxy Flyme Auto 2 intelligent cockpit and Qianli Haohan H3 advanced driver assistance system, delivering a CLTC pure electric range of 225 km and a combined range of 1,730 km. Exterior highlights include a distinctive flying-eaves front fascia, full-width LED light bar, and AGS active grille shutter. The BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport has launched in Malaysia, priced from RM358,800.
