Geely Riddara Thailand is evaluating plans for a local EV production facility following its October 2024 market entry with the RD6 electric pick-up. General manager Cao Feng expressed confidence in the long-term growth potential of BEV pick-ups despite current market slowdowns, citing superior energy efficiency over fossil fuel counterparts. The RD6 is priced between 899,000-1,299,000 baht, offering RWD and dual-motor 4WD variants with 63-86 kWh batteries, 815 mm wading depth and 1,030 kg payload capacity. The company targets 3,000-5,000 unit sales this year with new single-cab fleet variants, while exploring expansion into Myanmar, Laos, the Philippines and Malaysia.

Dongfeng's eπ brand will unveil three new models on March 14: the eπ008 with new color options and OTA updates, the production eπ007 Flash Edition based on the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show concept, and the Nammi 01 Cross variant. The eπ008 is expected to add red to its existing six-color palette, while the eπ007 Flash Edition refines the cyberpunk-styled show car for mass production. The Nammi 01 Cross features increased ground clearance, full-width light curtains, and rugged off-road styling elements. Volkswagen has officially named the facelifted ID.3 as the ID.3 Neo, set for global debut in mid-April 2026.
