Alongside the new X70 launch, Proton introduced three service pledges: express oil-filter changes for pre-booked wait-in customers; 24-hour completion for major 40k/60k/80k km services; and if repairs exceed three days, a courtesy car plus one free future scheduled service. The programme covers the 1.5L i-GT-powered X70 and refreshed Saga. Pricing starts at RM38.99k for Saga and RM99.8k for X70, both offering RM7k rebate for the first 1,500 units until 31 March.

GWM Wey G9 PHEV MPV to Launch in Malaysia Late-Jan 2026: 442 hp, 5.7s 0-100 km/h, Sub-RM300k
GWM Malaysia will launch its first MPV and PHEV, the Wey G9, in late-January 2026. Locally assembled in Melaka, the short-wheelbase 7-seater measures 5.05m and uses the 442PS/642Nm Hi4 powertrain for 5.7s 0-100 km/h, 170km electric and 1000km total range. Thai-spec offers twin sunroofs, rear fridge, 21-speaker audio and L2 ADAS; local price expected below RM300k with regional export planned.
