Geely Riddara Thailand is evaluating plans for a local EV production facility following its October 2024 market entry with the RD6 electric pick-up. General manager Cao Feng expressed confidence in the long-term growth potential of BEV pick-ups despite current market slowdowns, citing superior energy efficiency over fossil fuel counterparts. Jointly developed with Daihatsu and Toyota, the vehicle features a 36.6 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery delivering 257 km WLTC range. Equipped with an integrated eAxle powertrain producing torque exceeding turbocharged minivehicles, the van offers V2L external power supply capability.
