Proton has set Oct 30 as the official launch date for the eMAS 5—its second EV and Malaysia’s most affordable electric car yet. Two trims are offered, Prime and Premium, with estimated prices of RM 60k and RM 80k; booking fee is RM 99 and the first 5,000 registrants get a limited-edition Touch n’ Go card plus RM 500 rebate. Deliveries start November. Based on the Geely Xingyuan, the B-segment hatch measures 4,135 mm long and rides on a 2,650 mm wheelbase.
