On Oct 30, Zhengzhou Nissan will open pre-orders for the Frontier Pro PHEV, the first China-developed pickup built for global markets under Nissan’s “In China, for China, to the world” strategy. Co-developed by Chinese and Japanese engineers, it features V-Motion styling, full-width DRL, powered tailgate and smart retractable step, with a 199-yuan blind-order campaign launching prior.

Jetour’s rugged SUV T2 is set to launch in Malaysia soon, featuring a 2.0L turbo petrol engine with 254 PS/390 Nm, 7-speed DCT, and full-time AWD. Measuring 4,785 mm long with 220 mm ground clearance, it rivals the Defender 110 in size. A 1.5T PHEV version (Kunpeng C-DM) is also available in China, where it outsells the Tank 300 two-to-one with 15,000 units/month. Expect local CKD assembly via Berjaya Assembly and a price tag around RM200k.

iCaur V23 Spied Again in Malaysia: Retro Boxy SUV Expected from ~RM90k
Fresh spy shots confirm the iCaur V23 is back on Malaysian roads. The retro, Land-Cruiser-inspired SUV rides on its own platform, measures 4.22 m long and will land in RHD form with 136 PS RWD or 211 PS AWD powertrains. Battery choices are 59.93 kWh LFP (≈300 km WLTP) and 81.76 kWh NMC (≈360 km WLTP). With Thai prices starting around RM 91k, local expectations are for a sub-RM 100k launch price.

Chery’s New Global Brand Lepas to Enter Malaysia in H1 2026; Flagship L8 SUV Likely First
Chery Malaysia confirmed that its new global family-oriented brand Lepas will launch in Malaysia in H1 2026, with the five-seat L8 SUV—its largest model—expected to lead the charge. The L8 pairs a 1.5-litre turbo PHEV producing 279 PS and 365 Nm with an 18.4 kWh LFP pack and front-wheel drive, distinguishing itself from the existing Chery and Omoda|Jaecoo line-ups. Smaller siblings L6 and L4 will follow, all adopting the “Leopard Aesthetic” design language.
