The mid-size sedan E05 has been named Fengyun A9, with real vehicle experiences expected by the end of the year and deliveries starting in early 2026. The Fengyun A9 features a coupe-style design with pulling-through taillights and petal-shaped wheels, and offers a variety of interior configurations with both range-extender and pure electric powertrain options. The A9L features a traditional three-box design, with a larger body size and an axle distance of 3000mm, and is equipped with advanced driving assistance features.

BYD is set to enter the Japanese market with an electric kei car, a specialized category for small vehicles measuring 3.4 meters long and 1.48 meters wide. The new model features a compact design with a tall glasshouse and flat sides to maximize interior space. Equipped with a larger Blade lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and a more efficient powertrain, the BYD kei car is expected to achieve a range of around 300 km, significantly surpassing current Japanese kei EVs. The car is expected to be priced at around 2.5 million yen, targeting a launch next year.
