Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has confirmed the seventh-generation S-Class W223 facelift will debut locally on May 30-31 at a KLCC outdoor event. The updated flagship sedan, first revealed globally in January, features revised grille and headlight designs. The current local lineup offers only the S580e PHEV, whose facelifted version pairs a 3.0L inline-six turbocharged engine with an electric motor for a combined output of 585 PS and 750 Nm, alongside a 28.6-kWh battery with an estimated 100 km of EV range. Additional variants such as the S450e or pure-petrol models may also be introduced.

Pak Suzuki Motor Company, Suzuki's subsidiary in Pakistan, officially unveiled and commenced sales of the Fronx compact SUV on 6 May, with local production at its Karachi plant. Pakistan becomes the third production base for the Fronx following India and Indonesia. The coupe-style SUV features Suzuki's first mild hybrid system in a Pakistan-produced model, generous rear-seat legroom, and a quiet cabin. Since beginning production in 1982, Pak Suzuki has achieved a 40% market share with 88,445 units sold in FY2025. The Fronx is currently marketed in over 70 countries and regions globally.

Spy shots of Stelato's first hardcore SUV have emerged online, with the camouflaged test vehicle spotted near BAIC New Energy's factory. The model features a boxy, angular design with rectangular headlights and roof-mounted LiDAR, along with a short overhang, long wheelbase layout. Built on a unibody structure with double wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension, the SUV represents a differentiated positioning within Huawei's Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance. Huawei's Yu Chengdong previously confirmed the launch timeline for this year, citing positive consumer feedback from market research.

BYD's Fangchengbao brand will launch the Bao 5 and Bao 8 Flash Charge editions on May 13. The current Bao 5 is priced between RMB 239,800-329,800, offering CLTC electric ranges of 125km and 210km, while the Bao 8 ranges from RMB 379,800-423,800 with 100km WLTC range. Brembo has announced that its Sensify intelligent braking system has entered large-scale series production for a leading global OEM, with new contracts enabling annual supply of hundreds of thousands of units. The fluid-free architecture eliminates hydraulic circuits and centralised actuation, instead using a brake pedal module to transmit signals to the vehicle's main ECU. Dual ECUs—one per axle—monitor road friction, vehicle weight distribution, speed and steering angle to enable precise, independent brake force application at each caliper. The system also allows customisation of brake feel, pedal travel and braking force via an app, with preset profiles for multiple drivers.
