Chery Malaysia announced the Tiggo Cross Sport Edition, based on the Turbo (non-hybrid variant), launching next month. Visual changes include a more aggressive front lip with side winglets, rear diffuser with faux tailpipe cut-outs and a "Sport" tailgate badge. Roof rails, spoiler and 18-inch alloys are carried over. Current Turbo is priced at RM89,000 and Hybrid at RM100,000, with limited-time deals potentially lowering the starting price to RM81,000. Both variants use a 1.5L four-cylinder engine but with significantly different drivetrains.

On September 29, the Buick Allnew LaCrosse celebrated its 1.5 millionth unit rolling off the line, with official images of the new model released, launching on October 10. The new car continues the family design language with sleek headlights and large trapezoidal front grille. Dimensions are 5,003/1,866/1,466mm with a 2,905mm wheelbase, featuring 19-inch new-style wheels and Ink Bamboo Green exterior color. MENG SHI X700 pre-sale opened on September 28 with 3 variants priced at 249,800-289,800 yuan. A boxy SUV co-designed by MENG SHI and Huawei Qiankun, targeting light outdoor and mild off-road scenarios with a load-bearing body. The rugged exterior features a connected DRL strip with illuminated brand logo and LiDAR on the roof. Dimensions are 5,035/1,999/1,890 (1,910)mm with 2,920mm wheelbase, 37.5° approach, 38.3° departure, 328.8mm ground clearance and 800mm wading depth. The 1.5T PHEV powertrain features dual-motor AWD (113kW+190kW+215kW) achieving 0-100km/h in 4.93 seconds, with 51.46kWh battery delivering 285km range or 68.10kWh delivering 360km range. Suspension combines front double wishbone and rear five-link with MRC magnetic damping and dual-chamber air suspension.

The MG4 530 Anniversary Limited Edition launched on September 28 with a limited subsidy price of 84,800 yuan, limited to 10,000 units. It includes anniversary-exclusive accessories (waist support and seatbelt shoulder covers) shipping from November 1. Optional black floating roof available for 1,000 yuan. Features include heated/ventilated/massaging front seats with memory, heated steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, 50W wireless charging, 15.6-inch 2.5K central screen, electric tailgate and CarPlay/HiCar/Carlink connectivity. The powertrain uses a 6-in-1 motor with 120kW and 250Nm, CATL battery with 530km CLTC range. Offers end October 31.

BYD's ultra-high-end brand Yangwang is developing a flagship luxury sedan to challenge Rolls-Royce. General Manager Hu Xiaoqing shared spy images on Weibo showing a vehicle well over 5 meters long with RR-style suicide doors and design language from the U8 SUV. Wavy headlights feature a "celestial gate" inspired design with jewel-like projectors. Powertrain is unconfirmed, but the model may debut BYD's first solid-state battery supporting 1,500kW flash charging (10-70% in just 5 minutes). Yangwang is preparing for global expansion following Denza's Middle East launch, with Europe and UK entry planned for next year.

Evolvelectric Motors and FT Assembly signed an agreement to locally assemble the JAC T9 pickup truck in Kulim, Kedah, covering PHEV, BEV and diesel variants. The T9 PHEV will become Malaysia's first locally-assembled PHEV pickup, while the T9 EV will be the first locally-assembled pure electric pickup. T9 PHEV launches as CBU in November before transitioning to local assembly, followed by the diesel variant and T9 EV from January. FT Assembly invested RM3.6 million in an 84,000 sq ft facility with an annual capacity of 3,000 units and a target of 30% local content. The diesel and pure electric variants launched in March at RM119,888 and RM199,888 respectively. The T9 PHEV pairs a 2.0L turbo engine with dual motors (523PS/1,000Nm), using a 31.2kWh LFP battery delivering 100km pure EV range and 1,000km total range.
