On April 28, the State Council Information Office held a press conference where Vice Chairman Zhao Chenxin of the National Development and Reform Commission and others introduced policies for stable employment and economic development. Zhao announced the establishment of a childcare subsidy system, creation of special relending tools, support for service consumption and elderly care industries, and implementation of a consumption boost action plan, including targeted increase of vehicle quotas for key groups in cities with purchase restrictions.

In Q1 2025, new EU car registrations declined by 1.9% year-on-year, with a slight 0.2% drop in March 2025. Battery-electric vehicle (BEV) sales grew by 23.9%, capturing 15.2% of the market share. Hybrid-electric vehicles (HEVs) increased by 20.7%, accounting for 35.5% of the market. Traditional fuel vehicles saw a decline, with gasoline car registrations down 20.6% and diesel cars down 27.1%, resulting in market shares of 28.7% and 9.5% respectively.

Buick GL8 Lushang, the newly launched MPV by SAIC General Motors, has received over 10,000 orders within two weeks. The brand has introduced limited-time purchase benefits for this model. Priced between 249,900 and 289,900 yuan, it features Buick's PURE Design language and a plug-in hybrid system with a 1.5T engine. The vehicle offers a CLTC range of 1,420km, fuel consumption of 6.68L/100km in power-depleted mode, and an external power supply function.

Recently, Xiaomi Auto has renamed the intelligent driving features of its SU7 series to "assistive driving" to clarify the functional boundaries. The "Xiaomi Pilot Pro" on the standard version of SU7 has been renamed to "Xiaomi Assistive Driving Pro," while the "Xiaomi Pilot Max" on SU7 Pro and Max has been renamed to "Xiaomi End-to-End Assistive Driving." This change aligns with the requirements for intelligent connected vehicle product access and publicity as emphasized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Following the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, several key new models are set to launch. Among them, the Ideal L6 Intelligent Refresh Edition will be launched on May 8th, priced at 249,800 and 279,800 RMB. The new model features upgraded intelligent driving hardware, new laser radar, and NVIDIA Thor-U chips, supporting full-scene NOA. Other models such as the AITO L6, Xiangwang M8, Zunjie S800, and Deep Blue S09 will also hit the market soon, further enriching the new energy vehicle market.

Recently, spy photos of the Foton Titanium 7 have been exposed online. The model is positioned as an urban new energy SUV with a monocoque body structure, and its body size is close to that of the Foton Leopard 5. In terms of appearance, the Titanium 7 continues the rugged style of the Leopard 5, with sharp lines, elongated headlights, and a square spare tire cover on the rear. It also features a suspected rooftop laser radar. The interior layout is similar to the Leopard 5, equipped with a floating center console screen. Powerwise, it is expected to be equipped with a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system, with a combined power of 505 kW and a pure electric range of 125 km. The starting price of the Titanium 7 is expected to be under 200,000 RMB.
