Fresh renderings depict the production Toyota Seike coupe-SUV lower and sleeker than the Tokyo 2025 concept, swapping black cladding for body-color wheel arches and silver paint to enhance elegance. No launch date has been confirmed, signaling a sportier extension of the Seike lineup.

On Dec 12, Geely commissioned its Global Holistic Safety Center in Hangzhou Bay—an 81.9 k㎡ facility backed by over RMB 2 bn investment and five Guinness records, including the world’s longest indoor crash track and largest climatic wind tunnel replicating –40 °C to +60 °C, 250 km/h wind and 264 weather scenarios. After a 12-month silence, BAIC’s Malaysia entry is back on track: pilot production of the X55 and BJ40 Plus was completed at EP Manufacturing’s Melaka plant in November, with full CKD assembly starting January 2026 under a 10-year contract. Open for booking since May 2024, the C-segment X55 (188 PS/305 Nm 1.5T+7DCT) is priced around RM129k, while the Wrangler-style BJ40 Plus body-on-frame 4×4 (221 hp/380 Nm 2.0T+8AT, removable roof/doors) lists near RM188k.

NIO has released official images of the ET5 and ET5T “Horizon” limited editions, finished in bespoke Horizon Purple with matching door decals and mountain-graphics on the rear quarter glass. Ford and Renault Group will co-develop two Ford EVs on Renault’s Ampr platform by 2028: a Fiesta successor built alongside Renault 5 EV in Douai, plus a Renault 4-based crossover. An LCV collaboration is also planned, merging Renault’s scale with Ford’s dynamics to speed Europe’s EV shift.
