The refreshed Hongqi HQ9 PHEV appears on China’s 25th tax-exempt list with a 39.5kWh pack delivering 173km or 168km electric range. A 120kW 2.0T petrol engine forms the plug-in hybrid, while design keeps the vertical-bar grille and full-width taillights on its 5222×2005×1935mm luxury MPV body.

BYD has officially launched the SHARK pickup in the Chilean market. The SHARK is the first pickup to feature DMO (Dual Mode Off-road) technology, combining the performance and efficiency of traditional combustion vehicles with electric vehicles. Equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged engine and dual electric motors, the SHARK offers over 430 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 5.7 seconds. It features BYD's Blade Battery integrated via CTC (Cell-to-Chassis) technology, capable of charging from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes. The vehicle includes a 12.8-inch rotatable touchscreen, a 10.8-inch dashboard, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and is available in black, blue, and white. The SHARK also boasts a payload capacity of 850 kg and a towing capacity of 2,500 kg, along with six airbags and the DiPilot driving assistance system.

The Bugatti Tourbillon, successor to the Chiron, marks the brand's first foray into plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV). It features an 8.3L V16 engine and two electric motors, delivering a combined 1,800PS and a top speed of 445km/h (with the Speed Key option). The Tourbillon showcases intricate craftsmanship and advanced technology, with a limited production run of 250 units, starting at 3.8 million euros.

FAW-VW has released official images of the Sagitar S, 4702×1815×1484 mm and riding on a 2688 mm wheelbase—shorter than the Sagitar L. The fastback profile and duck-tail spoiler aim for “golden” proportions, while two powertrain options will be offered when the car debuts at the end of January under the “Safe-Smart-Swift-Style” theme.

The Avatar V9 flagship MPV measures 5359×2009×1879 mm on a 3250 mm wheelbase and seats seven. Roof-mounted LiDAR plus Huawei Qian-Kun ADS 4.0 hardware enable high-level pilot functions. A 1.5T range-extender and up to 53 kWh battery deliver a 1250 km+ CLTC total range, with 158/210/223 km electric-only options. Features include DLP projection head-lamps, animated welcome carpet, second-row zero-gravity rotating seats and a built-in oxygen bar; launch set for spring 2026, priced around 400–500 k RMB.

The updated BYD Sealion 05 is listed in both DM-i and EV guises with a shared design—only window trim separates them. Measuring 4620×1860×1630 mm on a 2770 mm wheelbase, it’s longer than the old EV but shorter than the previous DM-i; new bumpers and taillights freshen the look. DM-i keeps the 74 kW 1.5L fifth-gen system plus 120 kW motor, while the EV gains 200 kW and 240 kW rear-motor options for a solid power bump.
