Mercedes-AMG unveiled the AMG GT SUV at its 140th anniversary celebration in Stuttgart – the brand's first native pure EV high-performance SUV since becoming independent, built on the exclusive AMG.EA platform. Positioned as a mid-to-large pure EV high-performance SUV, it directly targets the Porsche Cayenne Turbo Electric, with global deliveries starting in early 2027. Three variants are offered: GT 63, GT 55 and GT 53. The GT 63 and GT 55 use three axial-flux motors (1 front, 2 rear) producing a combined 860kW (1,169HP) with ~2,000Nm torque, achieving 0-100km/h in ~2.5s and 0-200km/h in 6.8s at 270km/h top speed. Battery options are 106kWh and 128kWh with 800V architecture delivering up to 700km WLTP range, and 710kW charging adds 450km in just 10 minutes.

The electric MINI COOPER Cool Britannia Collection Edition launches at a limited-time price of 298,888 yuan, with just 3 units available. The petrol Cool Britannia special edition had already launched at 208,800-320,800 yuan. The tri-colour paint requires 9 processes and 100 hours of labour, tackling 74 colour separation lines to cover the asymmetric Union Jack across the bodywork, hand-finished to a porcelain-like finish. The interior offers a bespoke infotainment interface and floor mats. Power comes from a 160kW motor with a 51.5kWh battery delivering 463km CLTC pure EV range. "Cool Britannia" draws on the 1990s British cultural movement, with the Union Jack as core inspiration for the red, white and blue livery and dedicated design details.

The 2026 Li Auto i6 will launch on Oct 28 and start deliveries in early November. As Li Auto's first global-oriented all-electric SUV, it adopts the new Lianshan electric vehicle architecture and 96kWh 5C in-house battery, delivering 780km CLTC range for the RWD variant. It receives upgrades in six dimensions including lighting, display, seating, storage, chips and range, with standard Snapdragon 8797 cockpit chip and Mahe M100 ADAS chip.

The camouflaged BMW iX7 has been spotted at the Nürburgring conducting dynamic performance and durability testing, with its debut expected in 2027. Despite not adopting the Neue Klasse pure EV platform, the iX7 remains CLAR-based and won't feature the closed-off front face seen on the new iX3 and iX5. It carries over the split-headlight design of the X7 while gaining new-generation body surfacing and electric hidden door handles. The iX7 will nonetheless get the latest cockpit and powertrain, expected to share motor configurations with the iX5 for 578HP in dual-motor form, with a higher-positioned M-branded performance variant possible. A larger battery exceeding 110kWh is also anticipated for improved long-distance range.

Malaysian Jetour is set to import more models locally, with the F700 PHEV pick-up – a sister model to the G700 unveiled at KLIMS 2026 – next in line. Sold in China as the Jetour Zongheng F700, it measures 5,495×2,050×1,985mm with a 3,350mm wheelbase, sharing the G700's body-on-frame platform and front/rear double wishbone suspension. Power comes from a 2.0L turbo four-cylinder with dual electric motors, delivering 904PS (665kW) and 1,135Nm through a two-speed DHT, achieving 0-100km/h in just 5 seconds. The 34.13kWh CATL battery delivers 150km CLTC EV range and 1,300km combined, or about 123km and 1,066km on WLTP. The 800V architecture supports 170kW DC charging (30-80% in ~10 minutes), with a 35.4-inch "Zongheng" display and Jamo audio. Chinese pricing is 314,900-354,900 yuan, and Malaysian pricing is expected to exceed RM250,000, possibly reaching RM300,000.

Jetta's new all-electric mid-size sedan M6 is set to launch on Oct 22 with limited pre-sale range 80,800-99,800 yuan. Built on Jiesi EV architecture with 0.208 drag coefficient, it delivers maximum 555km CLTC range, equipped with Horizon Robotics Journey 6M chip to support urban NOA, making it a rare 100,000-yuan EV with high-level ADAS.
