Nissan to Export Electric Vehicles from China to Expand Overseas Markets
Nissan plans to export electric vehicles (EVs) from its Chinese factories to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and other regions starting in 2026. The N7 mid-size sedan, the first EV developed in China, will be among the first to be exported. Nissan has invested in China's IAT Automobile Technology to develop software for export markets. Additionally, Nissan has established a joint venture with Dongfeng Motor Group to handle vehicle exports. Nissan aims to leverage the cost-effectiveness of Chinese EVs to enhance its competitiveness in overseas markets.

Fresh MIIT filings show the facelifted Yangwang U7 EV gaining a 150.01 kWh Blade pack good for up to 1,006 km CLTC—286 km more than the current 135.5 kWh version—while the PHEV sticks with a 52.4 kWh battery for 200/220 km electric range. Quad-motor power remains 1,000 kW; prices stay RM 628k–708k, keeping it China’s priciest home-grown luxury EV sedan.

The latest tax-exempt catalog lists the Hyper S600 EV with 660 km and 800 km range variants; the EREV version delivers 170 km or 180 km electric range. Measuring 5015 mm long and riding on a 2936 mm wheelbase, the five-seat coupe SUV features split dual-lens headlights and a full-width tail lamp, targeting the premium NEV SUV segment with dual-powertrain strategy.

Nissan NX8 EV Offers 565–650 km Range, First Overseas Brand Large SUV with 800 V 5C Ultra-Fast Charge
The 25th batch of exemption catalog shows that the Dongfeng Nissan Tianyan architecture's all-new mid-to-large SUV NX8 pure electric version offers two lithium iron phosphate battery options with 73/81 kWh capacity, delivering a range of 565-650 km across four levels, dual power outputs of 215/250 kW, and standard features including an 800 V high-voltage platform and CATL's 5C ultra-fast charging, covering a full temperature range of -30 to 60 ℃. The extended-range version is also announced simultaneously, featuring a 1.5 T range extender plus a 195 kW motor, with pure electric ranges of 102/185 km.
