BYD has officially launched the SHARK pickup in the Chilean market. The SHARK is the first pickup to feature DMO (Dual Mode Off-road) technology, combining the performance and efficiency of traditional combustion vehicles with electric vehicles. Equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged engine and dual electric motors, the SHARK offers over 430 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 5.7 seconds. It features BYD's Blade Battery integrated via CTC (Cell-to-Chassis) technology, capable of charging from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes. The vehicle includes a 12.8-inch rotatable touchscreen, a 10.8-inch dashboard, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and is available in black, blue, and white. The SHARK also boasts a payload capacity of 850 kg and a towing capacity of 2,500 kg, along with six airbags and the DiPilot driving assistance system.

The Bugatti Tourbillon, successor to the Chiron, marks the brand's first foray into plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV). It features an 8.3L V16 engine and two electric motors, delivering a combined 1,800PS and a top speed of 445km/h (with the Speed Key option). The Tourbillon showcases intricate craftsmanship and advanced technology, with a limited production run of 250 units, starting at 3.8 million euros.

The Buick E5 mid-size SUV will debut in Q1 and hit the market later this year. Built on Buick’s Xiaoyao architecture, it features split Star River Unfurls Its Wings headlamps, roof-mounted LiDAR and Momenta R6 ADAS for full-scenario assisted driving, plus a Snapdragon 8775P-powered cockpit and “True Dragon Plug-in Pro” hybrid system in a five-seat layout.

Positioned as BYD’s new flagship sedan, the Seal 08 will debut in Q1. Spy shots show a production body inspired by the Ocean-S concept—low-drag surfacing, semi-flush handles and wave-style full-width taillights—trading show-car suicide doors for conventional ones. A roof-mounted LiDAR signals advanced driver assistance, while the stretched wheelbase promises ample rear-room and latest BYD tech.

Toyota Malaysia has launched the fully-imported Vellfire Hybrid at RM549,900—RM101k above the petrol 2.5 and almost RM2k above the Alphard 2.4T. The 2.5L Atkinson + 182 PS e-motor delivers 250 PS combined and cuts fuel use to 5.7L/100 km. Sunset-brown Nappa, head-up display and Alphard-style Executive Lounge second-row seats (ottomans, tables, massage) headline the cabin, plus a 14in roof monitor. Kit includes 12.3in cluster, 14in HUD-linked touchscreen, 15-speaker JBL, quad-zone Nanoe-X, TSS ADAS and 5-yr vehicle + 8-yr battery warranty.

The Hyundai Staria Electric enters the MPV line with an 84 kWh LFP pack and 218 PS/350 Nm front motor, good for 400 km WLTP and 2 t tow. 800 V architecture adds 10-80 % in 20 min, while 11 kW AC gets a heated lid. Two configs: 7-seat Luxury (captain’s chairs, powered doors) and 9-seat Wagon (1,303 L cargo). Twin 12.3-in displays, V2L, full SmartSense ADAS; sales start H1 in Korea and Europe.
