Audi Q9 Officially Revealed: Rivals BMW X7 and Mercedes GLS, North America Launch 2027
Audi officially unveiled the Q9 on July 29, the brand's largest and most luxurious flagship SUV, directly rivaling the BMW X7 and Mercedes GLS, expected to launch in North America in 2027 from approximately USD89,000. The exterior features an upright grille with vertical bars, boxy and rugged styling close to the Q8 e-tron design language. At 5,310mm long, 2,210mm wide, and 3,140mm wheelbase, it surpasses the BMW X7 and Mercedes GLS as the largest among the German trio. It features curved digital OLED taillights supporting night light shows and traffic information projection. Standard 7-seat with optional 6-seat, with generous third-row space. Over 1.5 square meters of panoramic glass roof with optional 9-zone electronic dimming and 30-color ambient lighting that automatically turns opaque when parked. Equipped with powered doors with anti-collision sensors.

Mazda CX-30 CKD Assembly Begins in Indonesia from July 29
Mazda has announced that local assembly (CKD) of the CX-30 will begin in Indonesia starting July 29 this year. The Japanese carmaker said it regards Indonesia as one of its key markets in the ASEAN region and will accelerate its business growth there. The SUV is already a CKD model in Malaysia since 2023. Mazda's CKD project in Indonesia is led by PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI), the exclusive distributor of Mazda vehicles in Indonesia, along with its subsidiary PT Eurokars Produksi Pratama (EPP), with production carried out on a dedicated line at a plant located in the Citeureup district, Bogor Regency, West Java. The facility will initially be capable of 5,700 units a year.

Omoda 4 EV Debuts in Indonesia: First Southeast Asia Official Appearance
Omoda, under Chery Group, has debuted the Omoda 4 EV in Indonesia—the B-segment pure electric SUV's first official appearance in Southeast Asia, signaling its future entry into the regional market. Internationally known as the Omoda C4, Malaysia's Omoda Jaecoo earlier surveyed local consumers about this B-segment SUV, suggesting the petrol-powered Omoda C4 may also come to Malaysia. The Omoda 4 EV measures 4,420×1,870×1,570mm with a 2,700mm wheelbase, larger than the similarly positioned Jaecoo J5 EV. It features a front-mounted motor producing 218PS (160kW)/275Nm, 0-100km/h in 7.1 seconds, 170km/h top speed, with a 65.05kWh battery delivering 553km NEDC or 470km WLTP range.
