BYD has announced an increase in investment for its Brazilian EV factory from BRL 3 billion to BRL 5.5 billion. The facility, located in the Salvador metropolitan area of Bahia state, is set to have an initial production capacity of 150,000 units annually, manufacturing both electric and hybrid vehicles.
