A Chery Q electric prototype has been spotted testing on Malaysian roads, positioned as a B-segment EV hatchback to compete with the Proton eMas 5. Measuring 4,195/1,811/1,573mm with a 2,700mm wheelbase, it is larger than the eMas 5. The Thailand-spec features a 122hp rear motor with a 41.278kWh LFP battery delivering 400km NEDC range (340km WLTP), supporting 85kW DC fast charging (30-80% in 16 minutes). Features include an 8.8-inch instrument display, 15.6-inch touchscreen, 50W wireless charging, 360-degree camera and powered tailgate (375L + 70L front). Expected under RM100,000 but priced above the eMas 5.

Changan officially launched the UNI-V hybrid on September 12 with two models at official prices of 114,900-119,900 yuan and limited-time prices of 109,900-113,900 yuan. The exterior continues the fuel version design with a closed front grille, three-section air intakes, dual four-exhaust outlets, connected taillights and a standard electric rear spoiler. Dimensions are 4,740/1,838/1,435mm with a 2,750mm wheelbase. Interior features 256-color ambient lighting, sport seats with 3-mode driver ventilation/heating, SUPER RACE 3.0 track mode, Tencent TTI Sound AI audio, 18 speakers, Dolby Atmos and ENC active noise cancellation. Boot space is 465L, expandable to 1,090L. The 1.5L hybrid powertrain (engine 110kW/220Nm, motor 180kW) delivers 0-100km/h in 6.98 seconds with 4.28L/100km WLTC combined fuel consumption.

Toyota has unveiled the all-new electric C-HR+, a crossover SUV set to launch in Europe later this year. Built on the e-TNGA platform, the C-HR+ is entirely independent of the combustion-engined C-HR. It offers three powertrain options: the base model features a 57.7kWh battery and front-mounted motor with 167 PS, achieving 0-100km/h in 8.6 seconds and a WLTP range of 455km. The mid-range model upgrades to a 77kWh battery with 224 PS, reaching 0-100km/h in 7.4 seconds and offering 600km of range. The top-tier dual-motor AWD variant produces 343 PS, accelerates to 100km/h in 5.2 seconds, and has a range of 525km. The C-HR+ measures 4,520mm x 1,870mm x 1,595mm with a 2,750mm wheelbase. It features a “Hammerhead” front design, a 14-inch touchscreen, high-mounted digital instrument cluster, and 416 litres of cargo space. The vehicle is equipped with Toyota Safety Sense as standard.

XPeng officially announced the G9L will launch on September 17 with a pre-sale price of 259,800 yuan, positioned as a mid-to-large five-seat SUV with pure EV and extended-range powertrains, both featuring 800V ultra-fast charging. The EREV version offers 435km CLTC pure electric range and 1,602km combined range. The exterior features the latest family design with a full-width LED light bar totaling 6.4m, AI digital projection headlights (1.3 megapixels) and an active grille. Dimensions are 5,120/1,999/1,782mm with a 3,100mm wheelbase. The interior offers an 88-inch AR-HUD, 33-speaker audio and 5.1㎡ cabin space. AD features three Turing AI chips and second-generation VLA system with 2,250 TOPS. Pure EV range is 660-755km, while the EREV completes 0-100km/h in 4.95 seconds.

Spy shots of what appears to be a new Geely pure electric compact car with internal code "E211" have emerged. The new model features a two-door hatchback design with compact dimensions, positioned below the Geely Starwish and above the Geely Panda, likely as an A0 or A00 segment pure electric vehicle. The interior is relatively minimalist with the central screen and steering wheel covered in camouflage. Seats feature black-and-white two-tone perforated leather, possibly with ventilation function, and physical buttons remain below the central screen. Specific details are yet to be officially disclosed.

The road test spy shots of the all-new NIO ET5T have been released. The new model features a more slender and low-profile stance, is equipped with triple LiDAR on the roof, and will be built on NIO’s NT3.0 EV platform for significantly improved charging performance. It is expected to debut at NIO Day 2026 and officially launch in 2027.
