The new Land Rover Defender has been unveiled with minor exterior tweaks and interior upgrades. The vehicle features changes in rectangular headlights, grille design, and tail light shades, while maintaining the same body dimensions. The interior now includes a 13.1-inch infotainment screen, driver monitoring system, and adaptive off-road cruise control. Powertrains are expected to remain unchanged. The overseas starting price is approximately RMB 554,400.

BMW has announced a major refresh plan for its core models in the Chinese market, set to begin in Q3. The update includes the BMW 5 Series, X5, and X3, with changes such as configuration simplification, optimized customization options, and upgraded interior and exterior details. The new 5 Series will drop the luxury package and add a new gemstone blue paint option. The X5 will eliminate non-night package models, while the X3 will feature an upgraded M Sport Night appearance. The i3's electric drive system has been upgraded, with increased range. The 7 Series will come standard with sound-insulating laminated glass.

Tesla Model Y's new model spy shots have been exposed, with the internal code E80. The price is expected to drop to 150,000-170,000 yuan and may be launched in the second half of this year. The new model is shorter than the current one, with reduced length and wheelbase, and features a large panoramic sunroof and optimized front and rear ends. The new model will be equipped with a 50kWh battery, maintaining the same range as the current model. Designer Theophilus Chin has created a wagon version of the Proton S70, named the V70, inspired by Proton's past prototype Wira Estate. The V70 features an extended roofline and a tailgate for increased boot space, along with a roof spoiler and rear wiper. The rear side windows have been enlarged, and roof rails have been added, borrowing some elements from the eMas 7. The design looks quite appealing. Proton has a history of experimenting with alternative body styles for its models, and it will be interesting to see if they continue this trend.

On June 4th, spy shots of Wuling's new pure electric compact SUV were exposed, likely to be named Bingsuo S. The vehicle features a new design language with rounded lines, oval-shaped headlights, a closed front grille, a Through tail light, and a large rear spoiler. The charging port is located on the left front fender. It is expected to compete with models like the Geely Star Wish and BYD Dolphin. Power and range information have not been released yet. For reference, the current Bingsuo model offers front-mounted motors with maximum power of 41 horsepower and 68 horsepower, and provides 17.3kWh, 31.9kWh, and 37.9kWh LFP batteries with ranges of 203km, 333km, and 410km respectively.

The IM Zhiji LS7 New Edition is set to launch on June 16th. The mid-size SUV features the Lynx Digital Chassis 2.0 with four-wheel steering and smart suspension adjustment, and an upgraded 800V high-voltage platform. The vehicle measures 5049/2002/1731（1784）mm with a wheelbase of 3060mm. It is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and multi-screen interaction system. Powertrain options include rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, with maximum power outputs of 300kW and 579kW respectively, offering enhanced performance and range.
