Hyundai Motor and Iveco Group have signed a letter of intent to collaborate on the development of electric heavy-duty trucks for the European market, encompassing both battery-electric and fuel cell drivetrains. The joint development initiative commenced in March 2022, with Iveco's eDaily FCEV van and E-way hydrogen bus already demonstrated. Additionally, in February of the previous year, the two companies signed a supply agreement for an Iveco brand EV LCV for Europe, which will be based on a Hyundai platform.

SAIC-GM-Wuling 2026 Xingchi Launched, Limited-Time Price as Low as 37,800 Yuan
SAIC-GM-Wuling has launched the 2026 Xingchi SUV with two configurations. The 1.5L 6MT Freedom model is priced at 52,800 yuan, with a subsidized price of 37,800 yuan. The 1.5L CVT Fun model is priced at 66,800 yuan, with a subsidized price of 51,800 yuan. The new model retains the “Wing Dynamics Aesthetics” design, adds the Iceberry Purple color, and features an 8-inch touchscreen, electrically adjustable mirrors, and other configurations. On July 23, Lantu released the mid-term facelift medium-sized pure electric SUV Zhiyin. The new car has a length, width and height of 4810/1900/1636 mm and a wheelbase of 2925 mm. The front face has a 46.75-inch "Flashing Galaxy Smart Light Curtain" + 192-line laser radar, and supports 8 types of lighting effects OTA expansion. The interior is minimalist, and it debuts Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 4 and Hongmeng Cockpit HarmonySpace 5, equipped with a 15.6-inch sliding screen, 8295P chip and car refrigerator. The power continues to use a 230 kW rear single motor, and the 79/109 kWh battery corresponds to a CLTC range of 650/901 km. The 800V platform + 5C fast charging 15 minutes to replenish 515 km. The new car is expected to be priced in the 197,000-237,000 yuan range and will be launched at the end of August.

Chery Launches Flagship Fengyun A9L, Starting at 149,900 Yuan, Brand Goes Independent
On July 8, Chery officially launched its flagship new energy sedan, the Fengyun A9L, with a price range of 149,900 to 207,900 yuan. The vehicle is positioned as a C-segment executive sedan, built on a global high-performance hybrid platform, featuring the Kunpeng CDM 6.0 system. It offers over 260 km of pure electric range and over 2,500 km of total range. Equipped with LiDAR and Falcon 700 ADAS, the A9L delivers advanced intelligent driving and cockpit experiences. The Fengyun brand is now officially independent, with plans to launch 16 new models in the next three years, targeting the premium new energy vehicle market.

The 2026 Toyota Camry debuts today with 15 trims priced RMB 171,800-259,800. A new 2.0L Sport Lite at RMB 191,800 features TSS3.0 PRO ADAS, 64-colour ambient lighting and smart fragrance. Fastback styling with 18-inch alloys measures 4,915 mm long and 2,825 mm wheelbase. Powertrains include 2.0L/2.5L hybrid and 2.0L petrol, all mated to CVT.

Changan 4th-Gen Eado to Roll Off Line July 31, Adds PHEV with Active Rear Spoiler
The fourth-generation Changan Eado will exit the Chongqing Liangjiang plant on 31 July. Featuring a star-ring DRL, borderless grille and clear light-bar tail-lamps, the compact sedan stretches to 4,785 mm with a 2,765 mm wheelbase. Petrol models retain the 500-bar 1.5T Blue Whale engine at 141 kW, while PHEV versions pair a 1.5 L unit with 140 kW or 158 kW motors and add an active rear spoiler for improved aero.
