The Citroen 2CV concept debuted at the Paris Motor Show, with a production version within two years at approximately 15,000 euros (~RM69k), compliant with EU M1E EV regulations: fully electric, EU-assembled, under 4.2m long with safety assistance systems. The new model is 3.76m long (100mm shorter than original) with a targeted weight of one ton. Exterior retains classic cues: flat windscreen surround, base air intakes, prominent bumpers, body-colored headlamps, sculpted bonnet ribs, concave sections, vertical side windows, rounded wings and reinterpreted door handles. Michelin 18-inch wheels wear exclusive chevron-pattern tyres. Interior features "floating" touchpoints, two-spoke steering wheel, umbrella-handle gearshift, removable front bench seat, detachable storage basket, 8-inch display (graphics by comic artist Jean-Luc Delvaux), Smart Vision head-up display and manual roll-up fabric sunroof. The 48/90/26 badges commemorate 1948/1990/2026. Each M1E-compliant car sold counts as 1.3 vehicles in CO2 fleet accounting.
