Nissan has unveiled complete details of the new Rogue (North American X-Trail), offering only the e-Power hybrid system for US and Canada markets. According to new research by SMMT, UK drivers have more electric car choice than ever, with manufacturers launching the equivalent of one fully electric model every fortnight for the past three years. Eighty-five new BEV models have reached the UK market since 2023, doubling the number available to 171. Alongside 109 PHEVs and 52 HEVs, 76% of the UK's market can now drive without tailpipe emissions. UK buyers can choose from 385 models across every powertrain from more than 60 global brands. Full EVs now typically travel over 300 miles on a single charge, well above the 127 miles driven weekly by the average UK driver. New car CO2 emissions have been cut by more than half a million tonnes a year.
