The largest iCaur yet has been spotted in Malaysia, just weeks after its ASEAN debut at GIIAS 2026. The RHD V27 measures 5,045 mm long (nearly as long as a Range Rover), 1,976 mm wide, 1,894 mm tall with a 2,900 mm wheelbase. It's a range-extended EV with a 1.5L turbocharged engine (45.79% thermal efficiency) charging a 34.31 kWh battery powering a 252 PS/300 Nm rear motor (RWD) or 455 PS/505 Nm dual motors (iWD). Claimed figures include 200 km EV-only range, 1,200 km combined CLTC range (about 980 km WLTP), and 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. It supports 100 kW DC charging (10-80% in 17 minutes). Features include a 15.4-inch screen, 600 mm wading depth, and 15 Pioneer speakers. iCaur Malaysia officials have confirmed the V27 will be sold locally, potentially with CKD assembly at Chery's new Lembah Beringin plant.

According to Kompas, the HR-V Mugen carries an approximately two-month waiting period with no unit limit; HPM's sales and marketing director Yusak Billy revealed four orders had been received as of August 4. The hybrid powertrain remains unchanged, continuing with a 1.5L naturally-aspirated Atkinson-cycle inline-four engine delivering 106 PS and 127 Nm, paired with an E-CVT where the engine primarily acts as a generator powering an electric motor rated at 131 PS and 253 Nm.
