Toyota Motor Europe (TME), in collaboration with BMW Group, Bosch, and Repsol, has announced the launch of a pioneering six-month pilot project in Spain to demonstrate the real-world potential of Vehicles running Exclusively on Eligible Fuels (VEEF). Launched in early July 2026, the initiative will deploy a fleet of around 20 Toyota and BMW vehicles powered by Repsol's 100% renewable gasoline (Nexa 95), supported by Bosch's advanced digital fuel tracking system. The pilot will provide real-world evidence that renewable fuels can be deployed at scale today using existing vehicles, refueling infrastructure, and digital certification technologies, offering a viable pathway for automotive decarbonization.
