Geely Riddara Thailand is evaluating plans for a local EV production facility following its October 2024 market entry with the RD6 electric pick-up. General manager Cao Feng expressed confidence in the long-term growth potential of BEV pick-ups despite current market slowdowns, citing superior energy efficiency over fossil fuel counterparts. The RD6 is priced between 899,000-1,299,000 baht, offering RWD and dual-motor 4WD variants with 63-86 kWh batteries, 815 mm wading depth and 1,030 kg payload capacity. The company targets 3,000-5,000 unit sales this year with new single-cab fleet variants, while exploring expansion into Myanmar, Laos, the Philippines and Malaysia.

Stelato has revealed a new pink color option for the S9T touring wagon, featuring matching wheels to appeal to younger buyers. Launched earlier with pricing between 309,800-369,800 RMB, the model now offers seven colors including Fairy Green, Liquid Silver, and Universe Red. The S9T adopts the Cosmic Aesthetics design language with Huawei's million-pixel intelligent projection headlights enabling welcome sequences and intelligent masking functions. The brand plans to expand its lineup with new SUV and MPV models within the year.

Li Auto has announced its flagship electric SUV, the i9, will launch in the second half of 2025, positioned above the i8 with enhanced second and third-row space while maintaining the i-series design language. The three-model i-series lineup will span the 200,000-500,000 RMB price bracket, with the i8 currently starting at 339,800 RMB. The company plans to upgrade its entire range to 800V architecture and 5C ultra-fast charging batteries by 2026, achieving economies of scale through supply chain localization. Luxeed has announced its flagship V9 MPV will launch this spring, targeting the 500,000 RMB segment with rear-wheel steering (±7 degrees, 5.35m turning radius) and dual-chamber air suspension (50mm lift capability).
