Landa Doubles Battery Stock: 8,000 Additional Packs to Hit 16,000 by Mid-January for CNY Travel Rush
On 5 Feb Landa unveiled a battery-doubling scheme for its swap network: 8,000 new packs will be added by mid-January, lifting total Landa-compatible stock to more than 16,000—twice the original level—to cover Spring Festival peak demand. Deployment began in November with 800+ packs already in place. As of 5 Dec the network counts 2,252 swap stations nationwide (657 on highways) and 9.36 million cumulative swaps.

The Ministry of Commerce is advancing the development of a battery valuation and testing system to facilitate used car transactions. Experts believe that digital management is key to maximizing the value of battery assets and building a circular economy, as well as supporting battery operations and charging and swapping services, which are crucial for industry development.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has introduced the GLE 400 e PHEV priced at RM498,888— the most affordable GLE variant, undercutting the mild-hybrid GLE 450 by RM46k. A 2.0L turbo four plus integrated motor delivers 381 PS/650 Nm and a 31 kWh battery provides 114 km WLTP electric range. Despite soft local PHEV demand, MBM sees plug-ins as a vital bridge to full-electric mobility and will continue to offer petrol, PHEV and EV options under its “Luxury of Choice” banner, while also expanding mild-hybrid models like the new C200 and GLC 200 AMG Line.
