Spy images of the Volvo EX60 show familiar Thor’s Hammer headlights and vertical taillights. Built on the new SPA3 EV architecture, the SUV will offer single- or dual-motor layouts with over 700 km CLTC range, debuting on January 26, 2026.

Wuling New Energy’s new brand Aishang has launched its first A00 micro-EV, the A100C, priced from RMB 39,800 to 52,800. It offers 220 km CLTC range, 30-80% DC top-up in 30 minutes and a 3-door/4-seat body on the Lingqiao platform. Measuring 3285 mm long with a 1980 mm wheelbase, it features a 10.25-in screen with HiCai OS, seven two-tone pastel colours and up to 882 L cargo space. Launch perks include an RMB 11k gift pack and a RMB 2000 comfort kit for a RMB 99 deposit.

Fresh spy shots confirm the iCaur V23 is back on Malaysian roads. The retro, Land-Cruiser-inspired SUV rides on its own platform, measures 4.22 m long and will land in RHD form with 136 PS RWD or 211 PS AWD powertrains. Battery choices are 59.93 kWh LFP (≈300 km WLTP) and 81.76 kWh NMC (≈360 km WLTP). With Thai prices starting around RM 91k, local expectations are for a sub-RM 100k launch price.

Chery Malaysia confirmed that its new global family-oriented brand Lepas will launch in Malaysia in H1 2026, with the five-seat L8 SUV—its largest model—expected to lead the charge. The L8 pairs a 1.5-litre turbo PHEV producing 279 PS and 365 Nm with an 18.4 kWh LFP pack and front-wheel drive, distinguishing itself from the existing Chery and Omoda|Jaecoo line-ups. Smaller siblings L6 and L4 will follow, all adopting the “Leopard Aesthetic” design language.

Jetour’s rugged SUV T2 is set to launch in Malaysia soon, featuring a 2.0L turbo petrol engine with 254 PS/390 Nm, 7-speed DCT, and full-time AWD. Measuring 4,785 mm long with 220 mm ground clearance, it rivals the Defender 110 in size. A 1.5T PHEV version (Kunpeng C-DM) is also available in China, where it outsells the Tank 300 two-to-one with 15,000 units/month. Expect local CKD assembly via Berjaya Assembly and a price tag around RM200k.

President Prabowo confirmed the i2C national EV project remains on track for late-2027 production start. Designed by TMI with Italdesign, the 3-row SUV will use an overseas (likely Chinese) platform, offering 204 PS/310 Nm and 617 km CLTC from an 83.4 kWh NMC pack. The government has submitted the initiative to be gazetted as a National Strategic Project to accelerate rollout.
