FAW-Audi has released the 2025 A5 Collectors Edition in China, offering two trims priced at CNY 385,800 and CNY 418,800. The 4,765 mm-long coupe rides on a 2,826 mm wheelbase and comes with nine body colours and ten wheel designs. Cabin retains the previous-gen virtual cockpit, while standard kit includes matrix LED headlights, panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate and MMI navigation, powered by a 140 kW 40TFSI engine.

China’s CNIPA released patent images of the facelifted BMW iX, revealing M Sport bumpers, an illuminated contour grille and slanted-matrix headlights. The 4965mm-long SUV keeps its 3000mm wheelbase while adding a larger roof spoiler and dark diffuser. Inside, the curved display switches to iDrive 8.5 and offers a round M steering wheel for the first time. Production remains in Dingolfing; Chinese market introduction is expected via special order.

Leapmotor launched the B10 electric SUV in Thailand with a 218 PS rear motor and CATL LFP batteries: 56.2 kWh (442 km NEDC) or 67.1 kWh (516 km), 30-80 % DC in 18-20 min, V2L and full L2 ADAS standard. Measuring 4515 × 1873 × 1652 mm on a 2735 mm wheelbase, it offers 420 L boot and 5-yr vehicle / 8-yr battery warranty. CKD assembly for Malaysia expected next year, pricing projected below RM 100 k.

MAA urges the government to retain CBU EV duty exemptions, arguing early-stage demand and consumer confidence are vital for CKD success. With tax breaks ending Dec 31, distributors forecast 20–30 % price hikes, while some warn of up to 100 % increases once 10–30 % import and 50–100 % excise duties return. CKD incentives continue until end-2027, but brands starting local assembly only in H2 2026 will face transitional price pressure.
