US Cancellation of EV Policy Impacts Indonesia's Electric Vehicle Market
The cancellation of the US policy promoting electric vehicle production and sales by President Trump could impact Indonesia. GAIKINDO in Indonesia believes that the growth of internal combustion engine vehicles must continue, noting that the low resale value of electric vehicles is a reason for public hesitation. The Indonesian government is offering hybrid vehicle incentives to boost the sale of environmentally friendly vehicles.

The 5,258 mm body achieves a 4.65 m turning radius and a world-record 210 km/h moose test. Launch incentives include ¥10 k subsidy or financing, ¥45 k tech pack and lifetime ADAS updates.
Aisun Auto Unveils A00 EV Micro-Car A100C Preview; Brand & Sales Strategy Due Sept 26
Aisun, the new NEV brand from Liuzhou Wuling, previewed its first A00 battery-electric micro-car A100C. The 3-door, 4-seat hatch measures 3285 mm long, weighs 890 kg and delivers 35 kW/83 N·m for 220 km CLTC range. Full pricing and channel strategy will be announced on 26 Sept, ahead of a three-year rollout covering A00, A0 and A-segment cars, SUVs and MPVs.

Zeekr 7X Electric SUV Begins First Deliveries in Malaysia, Up to 615 km WLTP Range
Zeekr has handed over the first units of its fully electric mid-size SUV, the 7X, at Zeekr Space Bangsar. Offered in three trims, prices start at RM 179,800 for the RWD Standard Range with a 75 kWh LFP pack delivering 480 km WLTP; the RWD Long Range, at RM 190,800, uses a 100 kWh NMC battery for 615 km WLTP; the AWD Performance, priced RM 226,800, combines two motors for 646 PS and 3.8 s 0-100 km/h, achieving 543 km WLTP. Deliveries continue nationwide this month, with test drives bookable online or via WhatsApp.

All-Electric 2025 MINI JCW Electric Launched in Malaysia from RM219k, 371 km Range
The 2025 MINI JCW Electric is now in Malaysia—from RM218k for 2-year warranty or RM225k with 4-year service. The 3.86 m three-door hot-hatch uses a 49.2 kWh (usable) battery driving a 190 kW/350 Nm front motor for 0-100 km/h in 5.9 s and 200 km/h top; WLTP range 371 km, 95 kW DC charge 10-80 % in 30 min. Standard kit includes HUD, 9.4-in OLED round display, wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, full-speed ACC, Harman Kardon audio and JCW aero/trim; high-voltage battery covered 8 yrs/160k km.

BYD Seal 6 EV to Debut First Outside China in Malaysia on Sept 26, Estimated from RM150k
BYD Malaysia will stage the global debut of the Seal 6 saloon—known as the Qin L EV in China—on 26 Sept. Riding on e-Platform 3.0 Evo, the rear-drive BEV measures 4.72 m long with a 2.82 m wheelbase. Two Blade-LFP packs are offered: 46.08 kWh (110 kW/220 Nm, ≈380 km WLTP) and 56.64 kWh (160 kW/330 Nm, ≈430 km WLTP), both 30-80 % in 24 min and 6 kW V2L. Interior adopts column shifter, rotatable 15.6" screen and optional DiSus-C dampers; price is tipped around RM150k.
