NIO Adjusts Prices of 100kWh Long-Range Battery Pack and Full Series Models
NIO has announced a price adjustment for its full series 100kWh long-range battery pack and corresponding whole vehicle prices. The battery pack price has been reduced from 128,000 yuan to 108,000 yuan. The adjustment involves models such as ET5, ET5T, ES6, EC6, ET7, EC7, ET7 Signature Edition, ET9, and ET9 Signature Edition. The whole vehicle prices range from 336,000 yuan to 788,000 yuan, while the BaaS battery leasing scheme prices range from 228,000 yuan to 660,000 yuan. The battery leasing service fee is uniformly 1,128 yuan per month.

Chery's international sub-brand Jaecoo has launched the pure electric SUV Jaecoo J5 EV in Thailand. The vehicle is priced at 549,000 to 599,000 THB (approx. RM71,000 to RM78,000) for the first 1,000 customers, with the regular price set at 629,000 to 679,000 THB (RM82,000 to RM88,000). The J5 EV is equipped with a 58.9kWh battery, offering an NEDC range of 461km, and supports 80kW DC fast charging and 11kW AC charging. It features a front-mounted motor with 211PS and 288Nm of torque, achieving 0-100km/h in 7.7 seconds and a top speed of 175km/h. With dimensions of 4,300×1,860×1,650mm and a wheelbase of 2,620mm, the B-Segment SUV competes with the Honda e:N1. Standard features include 18-inch wheels, dual-zone climate control, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Higher-end models come with a panoramic sunroof, electric tailgate, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. The vehicle was previously launched as the Jaecoo 5 EV in the UK. In Malaysia, the brand has teased the arrival of the gasoline-powered J5 with a 1.6L turbo engine.

2026 Kia Carnival to Launch on September 1, with Configuration Upgrades and Retained Current Design
The 2026 Kia Carnival is set to launch on September 1. As an annual update, the model will focus on configuration adjustments and optimizations while retaining the current exterior design, featuring a large front grille, honeycomb mesh, irregular LED daytime running lights, and silver chrome accents. The interior is expected to continue with the dual 12.3-inch screen setup, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, and rotary electronic gear shift, with a 2+2+3 seven-seat layout. Powering the vehicle is a 2.0T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 171 kW and a maximum torque of 353 Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The new model is expected to enhance competitiveness through increased configurations and potential price reductions, along with more purchase incentives.
