Alfa Romeo Confirms Return to Malaysia with Giulia and Stelvio Veloce Models
Italian automaker Alfa Romeo has officially confirmed its return to the Malaysian market, launching a local website and social media channels while opening pre-registrations for the Giulia sedan and Stelvio SUV. Both models will be introduced in the high-performance Veloce trim, powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 280 PS and 400 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. The Giulia features rear-wheel drive, while the Stelvio comes with all-wheel drive, both capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in as little as 5.7 seconds. Stellantis had previously signalled the brand’s return in March 2024 by establishing a national sales company and showcasing the Tonale SUV in Gurun, Kedah. Future local assembly could further strengthen Alfa Romeo’s competitiveness in the premium segment.
