The new - generation NIO ES8 (internal code name Cetus) is expected to debut on August 20, with a technical launch and pre - sale price announcement on August 21. It will be officially launched and delivered at the NIO Day in late September. Built on the NT3.0 platform, the new ES8 retains the family design style, featuring dual - segment daytime running lights, air vents, and hidden door handles. The through-type taillights feature an equal-width design, creating a wider and thicker visual effect. The vehicle measures 5280mm/210mm/1800mm, with a wheelbase of 3130mm, further increasing compared to the current model. Furthermore, the all-new NIO ES8 embarked on a 2,950km journey to Mount Everest, stopping at 15 battery swap stations along the way, marking the completion of the G318 Sichuan-Tibet battery swap line.
