Following last week's test spy shots, the GWM WEY 80 large luxury MPV has been spied testing again. This time, the vehicle is more heavily disguised, but some interior details have been revealed. Based on these details, it is confirmed that the model is the facelift version that was unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show in China in April, differing from the pre - facelift left - hand - drive version displayed at the local auto show in December last year. The new car features a dual - spoke steering wheel, a 12.3 - inch digital instrument panel, and a 15.6 - inch center console screen. It adopts a three - row, seven - seat layout with executive - class seats in the second row. The WEY 80 is positioned as a high - end luxury vehicle, powered by a 1.5L four - cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine paired with two electric motors, with a combined output of 487PS and 762Nm of torque. It has a 37.96kWh battery with a maximum pure - electric range of 140km. The vehicle is expected to be launched in Malaysia in the third quarter of this year, assembled locally (CKD). However, due to the government's withdrawal of tax incentives for hybrid vehicles, the price is expected to be on the higher side.
