A new Wuling Silver-Label MPV has been spied in domestic social media. The vehicle is expected to have a similar size to the Wuling Kaijie, featuring a 7-seat layout and targeting the home-use market. The exterior adopts a new design language with square headlights, low-drag wheels, and a sliding door. The rear includes a large spoiler and “Y”-shaped taillights. The interior features a multifunctional flat-bottom steering wheel, a simple dashboard, and leatherette seats. The car is expected to be equipped with Zhuoyu Technology’s driving assistance system, offering highway navigation assistance for products under 100,000 yuan. Powering the MPV is the Lingxi plug-in hybrid system, consisting of a 1.5T engine and an electric motor with a combined output of 105 kW and 160 kW, respectively. The battery capacity is 20.5 kWh, providing a CLTC range of 140 km.

2025 Mitsubishi Xpander Facelift Launched, with Upgraded Features and Expected to Enter Malaysia
Mitsubishi has launched a facelift version of the Xpander in mid-2025 to maintain its market competitiveness. The facelift focuses on detail adjustments, such as changes to the grille material and front/rear bumper designs, while retaining the overall appearance. The interior features a new three-spoke steering wheel (borrowed from the Triton), an upgraded 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10-inch center console screen. The second-row seats now include headrests and cup holders. In terms of safety, the top-tier model's airbag count has been upgraded from two to six, though it still lacks semi-autonomous driving assistance features or automatic emergency braking (AEB). Powertrain-wise, it continues with the 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, delivering 105 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT or 5-speed manual transmission in a front-wheel-drive configuration. The Indonesian market price ranges from 270 million to 337 million Indonesian rupiah (approximately 70,000 to 88,000 Malaysian ringgit). Additionally, the facelifted Xpander Cross has been launched simultaneously, with prices slightly higher at 338 million to 364 million Indonesian rupiah (approximately 88,000 to 95,000 Malaysian ringgit).

Geely EX5 Completes First Assembly in Indonesia, Set for Q4 Mass Production
Geely has made significant progress in local production in Indonesia with the first assembly of its electric model EX5 completed at PT Handal Indonesia Motor (HIM) in Pwakarta. The EX5 is set for mass production in Q4 2025 with an initial annual production target of 20,000 units. The plant will serve both the Indonesian market and the broader ASEAN region. Previously, Geely announced plans to launch 5 to 7 new models in Indonesia over the next three years, covering EVs, PHEVs, and ICE vehicles. Currently, Geely has 15 dealerships in Indonesia, with plans to expand to 100 by 2028. The EX5 was first unveiled in Thailand in November 2023 and officially launched in Indonesia in January 2025, available in Pro (475 million Indonesian rupiah) and Max (515 million Indonesian rupiah) versions. The EX5 features a front-mounted electric motor with 160 kW (215 hp) and 320 Nm of torque, paired with a 60.22 kWh LFP battery. The Pro version accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds with an NEDC range of 495 km, while the Max version accelerates in 7.1 seconds with a range of 490 km.

Xiaomi is set to unveil its first SUV, the Xiaomi YU7, at its strategic product launch event on May 22. The vehicle features a family-style design with bullet-shaped headlights and a fastback style. It offers both single and dual-motor options, with the dual-motor all-wheel drive version delivering a combined power of 508kW and a maximum range of 770km. The YU7 is expected to be priced between 300,000 and 400,000 yuan.
