The Range Rover Electric is under development, featuring a 117kWh battery pack developed in-house by Jaguar Land Rover. The battery consists of 344 prismatic cells within an 800-volt architecture. The SUV will also include single-pedal driving mode, Terrain Response system, and ThermAssist thermal management to reduce energy consumption by up to 40%. The chassis and Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD) system are being optimized for authentic Range Rover handling and improved traction on low-grip surfaces.

On May 15, EXEED 400T Yaoye was officially launched with a price tag of 167,700 yuan. The new model features exclusive Midnight darkness+Sunlight Orange exterior and interior colors, and comes standard with a Night Sport Package to enhance its sporty attributes. The exterior is blackened with red brake calipers, while the interior features Sunlight Orange leather and Nappa leather seats. Equipped with the Lion5.0 Lion Wisdom Cloud system and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, it supports various intelligent connectivity functions. Power is provided by the Kunpeng 2.0TGDI engine with a maximum power of 192kW and peak torque of 400N·m, achieving a thermal efficiency of 41%. The purchase package includes lifetime warranty for first owners, free basic traffic for life, and 3 years of free entertainment traffic, as well as lifetime free roadside assistance.

The new Xpeng P7 (codenamed E29) teaser images have been released, positioning it as a mid-size pure electric sedan with a completely revamped exterior design. The front features pulling-through LED daytime running lights and a light-up logo, giving it a futuristic look. The side profile maintains a coupe-style fastback design with new hard lines and unique four-spoke wheels. The rear is equipped with an adjustable electric spoiler and pulling-through taillights, maintaining a cutting-edge style. Specifics on powertrain and intelligent driving features have yet to be disclosed, but it is expected to continue with pure electric propulsion.

Chery’s sub-brand iCaur has been launched in Malaysia with the first model, the 03, set to go on sale in Q3 2025. The brand has signed its first eleven dealer partners, with more expected to join. iCaur dealerships will operate independently from existing Chery or Jaecoo facilities. The 03 is now open for bookings with a fully refundable RM1,000 fee, and customers will receive a scale model of the 03 upon delivery. Available in two variants, the 03 offers a 2WD version with a 65.7-kWh LFP battery and 426 km NEDC range for RM145,000, and an iWD version with a 69.8-kWh battery and 418 km range for RM155,000. The 03 features the iRoad suite, a 12-speaker Infinity sound system, a 540-degree camera, a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a 9.2-inch digital cluster, and Level 2.5 ADAS. Another model, the 03T, a sportier and more premium version, is also planned for the market.

Changan Qi Yuan C390 has released its first official images, positioned as a mid-size pure electric sedan based on the SDA global electric architecture. The vehicle features minimalist design with pulling-through light groups and a laser radar, optimized for aerodynamics. With a length close to 5 meters and an axle distance of 3 meters, it offers excellent interior space. Equipped with an 800V high-voltage SiC platform for ultra-fast charging and advanced driving assistance, it also features a front double-wishbone and rear multi-link suspension for both handling and comfort. Expected to launch in the second half of 2025 at around 200,000 yuan, it will compete with models like Tesla Model 3 and BYD Han.

Chery has announced that the mid-large sedan Fengyun A9 will be renamed A9L, with real vehicle experiences starting at the end of May or early June, and full deliveries beginning at the end of June or early July. The A9L Founder’s Edition will be limited to an additional 10,000 units. The mid-size sedan E05 has been named Fengyun A9, with real vehicle experiences expected by the end of the year and deliveries starting in early 2026. The Fengyun A9 features a coupe-style design with pulling-through taillights and petal-shaped wheels, and offers a variety of interior configurations with both range-extender and pure electric powertrain options. The A9L features a traditional three-box design, with a larger body size and an axle distance of 3000mm, and is equipped with advanced driving assistance features.
