On Sept 2, Ford unveiled BlueOval Charge Network x Octopus Electroverse, launching in October for private and fleet customers across Europe. One app and one card grant access to more than one million public chargers across 1,200 networks, featuring transparent pricing and intelligent route planning via CarPlay/Android Auto. Private users receive a three-month IONITY Premium trial; business users get three months free access to the Octopus Fleet portal for driver-card allocation, network discounts and custom reporting, simplifying EV and fleet management.

GIAMM warns that the local component sector has cut 3–50% of jobs since 2023 as wholesale car sales fell 8.6% and CBU EV imports jumped 50.7%. It urges the government to re-introduce luxury-tax holidays for vehicles with ≥60% local content to revive domestic parts demand.
