On August 25, Great Wall Motors announced that its compact SUV, the second-generation Dog, has been renamed to Great Wall Dog PLUS and released a teaser for the facelift. The Dog PLUS is an upgraded version of the Dog, not a new generation, with primary upgrades in configuration. In terms of appearance, the new model retains the current design and the 3/4 scale family genes, with a luminous brand logo in the center of the grille. For power, it is expected to continue with the 1.5T plug-in hybrid system, with the engine offering maximum powers of 167 hp or 154 hp and the drive motor offering total powers of 299 hp or 177 hp. The NEDC pure electric range options include 102 km, 50 km, and 105 km. The current second-generation Dog is priced between 135,800 and 156,800 yuan.
