The cancellation of the US policy promoting electric vehicle production and sales by President Trump could impact Indonesia. GAIKINDO in Indonesia believes that the growth of internal combustion engine vehicles must continue, noting that the low resale value of electric vehicles is a reason for public hesitation. The Indonesian government is offering hybrid vehicle incentives to boost the sale of environmentally friendly vehicles.

GAC and Huawei Automotive BU jointly launch “Qijing,” a premium NEV marque positioned above 300k RMB. The first model—offering both BEV and EREV powertrains in SUV and sedan body styles—is slated for 2026. The Red Flag HS6 PHEV has been unveiled, positioned as a mid size plug-in hybrid SUV with an expected pure electric range of 205 km. Its appearance continues the family front face, with a hidden grille and chrome decoration, smoked black headlights echoing the Red Flag logo, and two side air deflectors and lower air intakes, giving it a domineering design.

Leapmotor confirms its flagship SUV, the D19, will debut on October 16. Positioned in the 250–300k RMB bracket, the 5-metre-plus model retains the brand’s closed grille and full-width lighting, while adding an EREV powertrain and Snapdragon automotive cockpit (QAM8797P) to boost intelligent luxury appeal.
