Honda has announced an adjustment to its electrification strategy due to the slowing growth of the EV market. The company has reduced its target for EV sales to 20% by 2030, down from the previously planned 30%, and cut its R&D investment from 10 trillion yen to 7 trillion yen. Moving forward, Honda will focus more on hybrid vehicles, planning to launch 13 new hybrid models between 2027 and 2030, with a sales target of 2.2 million hybrid vehicles by 2030.
