At the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, the Tank 300 Hook version was officially unveiled. This vehicle, based on the Tank 300 and co-created with the global off-road IP "Hook Road," is positioned as a hardcore off-road vehicle. The new car features a front and rear hard-bridge structure, which is common in hardcore off-road vehicles, such as the classic Jeep Wrangler. In terms of appearance, the Tank 300 Hook version continues the design style of the ordinary version, adopts the official Sand Dune Brown color, and is equipped with Cooper Discover series all-terrain tires and anti-theft rims. In terms of power, it is expected to be equipped with a 3.0T V6 engine + 48V mild hybrid system, with a maximum power of 260 kW and a maximum torque of 500 Nm. The 2024 model of this power vehicle is priced at 330,000 yuan, and the special version is expected to be more expensive. In addition, GAC Motor exhibited its self-developed 4.0T V8 engine, which took ten years to develop and fills the gap in large-displacement power systems for Chinese brands. ACEA Urges EU Member States to Expedite Revision of Weights & Dimensions Directive
On June 5th, 2025, the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) expressed deep concern over the lack of progress on the revision of the Weights & Dimensions Directive, following a progress report in the Transport Council. With the EU’s 2030 CO2 reduction targets for heavy-duty vehicles approaching, ACEA urged member states to expedite the negotiations. ACEA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the green transition and is ready to work with all EU institutions and industry partners to bring the negotiations on the revised directive to a swift conclusion.

Argentina's Vehicle Production and Exports Show Significant Growth in May 2025
In May 2025, Argentina's vehicle production reached 48,109 units, up 5.8% month-on-month and 25.2% year-on-year. Vehicle exports amounted to 26,346 units, marking a 16.4% increase from April and a 14.7% rise from May 2024. In the first five months, total vehicle production reached 207,630 units, up 12.4% from the same period in 2024, while exports totaled 106,894 units, up 0.9%. The Association of Automobile Manufacturers (ADEFA) noted that despite a slowdown in export growth, the domestic market remains strong.
