Toyota Kirloskar Motor Launches Fortuner and Legender Neo Drive 48V Variants
On June 2, 2025, Toyota Kirloskar Motor announced the launch of the Fortuner and Legender Neo Drive variants equipped with an advanced 48V system. These variants feature a 2.8-litre turbo-diesel engine paired with a belt-integrated starter generator and lithium-ion battery, offering smoother acceleration, quieter operation, and improved fuel efficiency. Since its debut in 2009, the Fortuner has set the benchmark in the premium SUV segment with its bold design and all-terrain capability. As of May 31, 2025, cumulative deliveries for the year reached 89,225, up 34.7% year-over-year, with a total cumulative deliveries of 760,789 vehicles.
