On Sept 2, Ford unveiled BlueOval Charge Network x Octopus Electroverse, launching in October for private and fleet customers across Europe. One app and one card grant access to more than one million public chargers across 1,200 networks, featuring transparent pricing and intelligent route planning via CarPlay/Android Auto. Private users receive a three-month IONITY Premium trial; business users get three months free access to the Octopus Fleet portal for driver-card allocation, network discounts and custom reporting, simplifying EV and fleet management.

NIO Day 2025 on Sept 20 will reveal the official price of the all-new ES8, previously pre-sold at RMB 416.8-456.8k (BaaS RMB 308.8-348.8k). The 5280 mm long, 3130 mm wheelbase SUV adopts the latest family design, offers 6/7-seat layouts, Skyline dash, 38-inch AR HUD and SkyOS full-domain OS.

The fifth-gen BMW X5 will offer five powertrains—gasoline, diesel, PHEV, BEV and a third-gen hydrogen fuel-cell system co-developed with Toyota. Porsche will launch the world’s first series 11 kW wireless “One-Box” floor charger in 2026, initially for the new all-electric Cayenne. A vehicle-side receiver between the front axles enables 90 % efficient, contactless charging over a few centimetres; the car auto-lowers and the 117 × 78 × 6 cm, 50 kg slab offers LTE/WLAN, foreign-object detection and OTA updates. The system is TÜV-approved for outdoor use and integrates with the My Porsche app for timer and pre-conditioning functions. A 400 kW DC option will also debut; a fluorescent-wrapped prototype is on show at IAA Mobility Munich.
