The new car features quadrilateral headlights, a Through-type light strip and a closed grille. The body side has a fastback shape with hidden door handles, and the tail is heavily disguised but expected to have similar taillights to Arcfox T1. The interior includes a large floating center console screen, digital instrument cluster, floating central console with wireless charging, and spacious rear seating. The powertrain is expected to feature a 70-kilowatt single motor.
Argentina's Vehicle Production and Exports Show Significant Growth in May 2025
In May 2025, Argentina's vehicle production reached 48,109 units, up 5.8% month-on-month and 25.2% year-on-year. Vehicle exports amounted to 26,346 units, marking a 16.4% increase from April and a 14.7% rise from May 2024. In the first five months, total vehicle production reached 207,630 units, up 12.4% from the same period in 2024, while exports totaled 106,894 units, up 0.9%. The Association of Automobile Manufacturers (ADEFA) noted that despite a slowdown in export growth, the domestic market remains strong. Future efforts will focus on boosting production and exports, leveraging the growth opportunities in the Latin American market.
Chery DuoMi to Launch on June 10: A New Mini-EV Option
Chery DuoMi is set to launch on June 10, positioned as a mini electric vehicle with a 5-door, 5-seat layout. It offers two CLTC range options: 305km and 405km. The car features a compact design with triangular headlights and hook-shaped LED lights. Measuring 3720/1700/1608mm in size with a 2520mm wheelbase, it also has a matching rear design. The interior boasts a floating dual-screen layout with voice interaction and an electronic handbrake. The motor delivers a maximum power of 40kW and a maximum torque of 110Nm, with a fast charging time from 30% to 80% being short.

MIIT Promotes Mandatory National Standard for Intelligent Connected Vehicle Driving Assistance Systems
The MIIT is promoting the formulation of mandatory national standards for intelligent connected vehicle driving assistance systems to enhance the safety supervision of L2-level driving assistance. On June 4, the National Standard Information Public Service Platform issued a notice to solicit opinions on the relevant standards. The standard aims to regulate the performance of driving assistance systems, improve product safety, and reduce accidents caused by performance defects, while enhancing overall road safety. It applies to M and N category vehicles and covers technical requirements such as motion control and driver status monitoring, with clear audit and test methods. The project is open for public comment from June 4 to July 4, 2025, and is expected to be implemented in January 2026 at the earliest. The drafters include the China Automotive Technology and Research Center, Dongfeng Motor, Huawei, etc.

Hyundai Reorganizes Business in Malaysia and Launches EV Production Plan
Hyundai Motor Group announced in 2024 that it will reorganize its business in Malaysia by taking back the operating rights from Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) and entering the Malaysian market directly through its subsidiary Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) . In addition, Hyundai plans to invest RM2.16 billion to upgrade the Inokom automotive assembly plant and establish new strategic partnerships . The plan includes assembling high-voltage battery components for electric vehicles in Malaysia and gradually introducing six models for local assembly (CKD) over the next six years. Proton eMAS 7 Launches in Trinidad and Tobago, Expanding Global Reach
Proton's first all-electric SUV, the eMAS 7, has launched in Trinidad and Tobago, marking its second overseas market after Nepal. The vehicle, available only in the Premium variant, features a 60.22kWh battery with a WLTP-rated range of 410 km, 218 hp and 320 Nm of torque. Imported through local dealer Ansa Motors, the eMAS 7 joins Proton's X50 and X90 SUVs already sold in the country. Proton has exported 481 vehicles to date, with plans to assemble the eMAS 7 locally to benefit from tax exemptions.
