Leaked firmware and parts lists show Tesla’s cost-down “E41” Model Y will lose the glass roof, power-folding mirrors, front/rear light bars, rear screen, rear vents, ambient lighting and heated camera. Fabric seat bolsters, 18-inch wheels, a 50 kWh battery and 10-speaker audio further cut cost to about 70 % of today’s Model Y. The move aims to hit a 150-170k yuan price and challenge volume-brand SUVs in China and North America from Q4 2025 .
