On August 20, Buick released the interior images of the Zhijing L7, which will feature a smart digital cockpit. The Zhijing L7 will be the first to use the Qualcomm 8775 automotive chip, built on the Xiaoyao architecture, with a 1.5T extended-range power system, offering a pure electric range of 302 km under CLTC conditions and a total range of over 1400 km. The interior, inspired by the "Pure Floating Island" concept, includes a D-type smart control steering wheel, a column-mounted gearshift, a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel, a 15.6-inch center console screen, and a 50-inch panoramic AR-HUD. The Qualcomm SA8775P chip supports various interaction methods, including voice and touch, and operates stably under extreme conditions. The vehicle also offers a variety of cabin interaction functions, low-energy sentry mode, and support for major mobile phone interconnectivity.

Sixth-Generation Jeep Cherokee Debuts for 2026
The sixth-generation Jeep Cherokee has been unveiled, built on Stellantis' STLA Large architecture with a transverse front-mounted engine layout. Measuring 4,778 mm long, 1,898 mm wide, and 1,715 mm tall with a 2,869 mm wheelbase, the new Cherokee weighs 1,948 kg and has a towing capacity of 3,500 kg. It features a 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 177 hp and 300 Nm of torque, combined with two electric motors and a 1.03 kWh battery for a combined output of 210 hp and 312 Nm, driving all four wheels via an e-CVT. The Cherokee comes with Jeep Active Drive I 4×4 system and four drive modes. Inside, it offers a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with UConnect 5, and various safety features. Starting at US$36,995 in the US, the 2026 Cherokee will be produced in Mexico with deliveries beginning late-2025.

Second-Generation Audi Q3 Sportback Unveiled, Blending SUV and Coupe Design
On August 25, the second-generation Audi Q3 Sportback was officially unveiled, integrating the functionality of an SUV with the elegant aesthetics of a coupe. The roofline slopes downward from the A-pillar, 29mm lower than the SUV version, creating a stronger sense of sportiness. The rear body is more compact with broader and more muscular lines, and the coupe-style sloping roof adds a sense of avant-garde style. In terms of appearance, the new model's front face is almost identical to that of the new Audi Q3. The side body lines blend rounded surfaces with sharp lines, and wheel options include 18-, 19-, and 20-inch rims. The car is available in 11 body colors, including the newly added "Sage Green" and "Matte Madiera Brown." The rear design is clean and straightforward, with a slender light strip across the vehicle separated from the split tail lights.

Suzuki to Launch Two New Models in Malaysia
Malaysia's Suzuki car distributor Naza Eastern Motors has confirmed the introduction of two new models: the entry-level A-Segment SUV Suzuki Fronx and the all-electric SUV eVitara. The Fronx is expected to be launched within this year at a price above 100,000 Malaysian Ringgit and will be imported from abroad. The Fronx, a collaborative development between Suzuki and Toyota, is a twin model to the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor in the Indian market. In Indonesia, the Fronx is available in two power configurations: a 1.5L four-cylinder naturally aspirated gasoline engine with a mild hybrid system and a standard gasoline version, both featuring MacPherson strut front suspension, torsion beam rear suspension, and disc/drum brakes. The eVitara, a B-Segment all-electric SUV, is expected to arrive in Malaysia next year with a maximum range of 500 kilometers. It features a dual-screen interior and is currently produced in India.
