The 2025 Hongqi H9 has been released at a limited-time price starting from 235,800 yuan, valid until May 31st. The car offers two exterior styles: Luxury Business Edition and Private Fashion Edition. The interior features dual 12.3-inch screens and 253-color ambient lighting. Powertrain options include a 2.0T engine and a 3.0T V6 engine, both paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 3.0T model comes standard with all-wheel drive and air suspension.

Lexus has introduced the IS 500 Ultimate Edition for North America, a limited run of just 500 units celebrating the model as one of the last naturally aspirated luxury V8s on the market. Based on the IS 500 F Sport Performance, the Ultimate Edition features exclusive Wind metallic grey paint and 19-inch BBS forged alloy wheels in matte black. The interior is highlighted by Circuit Red leather with black accents, red seatbelts, and NuLuxe/Ultrasuede-trimmed seats, along with a custom serialised badge on the dashboard. Under the hood, it retains the 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine producing 472 hp and 535 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. Braking is enhanced by red Brembo six-piston calipers on 380-mm discs. The IS 500 Ultimate Edition will also come standard with Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, featuring active safety systems like pre-collision with pedestrian detection and all-speed dynamic radar cruise control. Pricing will be announced closer to its launch later this fall.

The Geely Galaxy M9 has been sighted in Milan ahead of its global premiere on May 22. This flagship six-seater plug-in hybrid SUV is based on the Galaxy Starship concept, though it will be renamed Galaxy M9, with “M” standing for Master, Mountain, and Moment. The production version retains many design cues from the concept, including the dark blue paint, full-width light bars at the front and rear, and prominent chrome side window trim. Powertrain options are expected to include the efficiency-focused EM-i system and the performance-oriented EM-P setup, with the latter offering up to 593 PS. The Milan debut hints at global aspirations, raising the possibility of the M9 reaching Malaysia as the flagship of the eMas lineup.

BMW has released a teaser of a new concept car featuring a two-door shooting brake design, large wheels, and slender taillights. The vehicle will be officially unveiled at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in Lake Como, Italy, on May 23rd. Speculations suggest it could be the production version of the BMW Z4 Shooting Brake or a hardtop variant of the BMW Skytop concept. The latter is expected to be powered by a 4.4T V8 engine with a maximum output of 617 horsepower.

Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia has announced the expansion of its facility network with a new parts warehouse owned and operated by Chery Corporate Malaysia. Located in Shah Alam’s Hicom Industrial Estate, the 88,000-square-foot facility supports the company’s brand portfolio. It houses approximately 10,000 parts for all Omoda | Jaecoo models and also stocks parts for the upcoming iCaur 03, set to launch in Q3 this year. Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia currently has 45 dealerships nationwide for sales and aftersales services, while iCaur has announced 11 partner dealers with further expansion plans across the country.

The new XPeng P7 “Pengyi Edition” spy shots have been revealed. The car retains the popular “Pengyi door” design and features an electrically adjustable spoiler and orange Brembo brake calipers. The exterior is coated in a striking lemon green, paired with orange calipers for a bold visual impact. The rear spoiler enhances downforce and high-speed stability. The front fascia retains the Penetrating strip lights and vertical daytime running lights，with headlights integrated into a black trim strip and a lower spoiler design. The side profile features an optimized fastback shape with a blacked-out A-pillar creating a floating roof effect, and “X”-shaped wheels that echo the brand logo.
