Hyundai Motor India Limited globally debuted the all-new VENUE and VENUE N Line compact SUVs, priced from INR 7,89,900 (ex-showroom). As the first vehicle from Hyundai's Pune plant and inaugural model among 26 planned products by 2030, the VENUE series will be exclusively manufactured in India for global export. The models feature ccNC connected cockpit powered by NVIDIA, a 12.3-inch display, ADAS Level 2 safety suite, and 71% high-strength steel construction. Powertrain options include 1.2L MPi, 1.0L Turbo GDi petrol, and 1.5L CRDi diesel. Since 2019, the VENUE has sold over 700,000 units, consistently ranking among the segment's top three.

Proton eMAS 7 PHEV Spotted Testing in Malaysia
A camouflaged Proton eMAS 7 plug-in hybrid (PHEV) test vehicle has been spotted on Malaysian roads. The prototype features wheel designs matching the international Geely Starray EX5 EM-i, suggesting a powertrain comprising a 1.5L naturally-aspirated engine and electric motor, paired with an 18.4kWh battery pack for 84km WLTP electric range and 943km combined range. Proton registered the eMAS 7 PHEV trademark last year, potentially marking the brand's first PHEV with pure electric driving capability.

Malaysian PM Designates Perodua QV-E EV as National Agenda
Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that Perodua's first homegrown electric vehicle, the QV-E, will be designated as a national agenda, aligning with the government's governance, social responsibility and environmental protection objectives. The official launch is expected at month-end. During his plant visit, the PM stated the EV embodies the Malaysia Madani concept. He pledged to serve as Perodua's pro bono marketing officer during his upcoming Africa trip, supporting the brand's internationalization and the nation's automotive industry transformation while exploring new export markets.
