The Mercedes-Benz GLC 200 has returned to the Australian market, priced from AUD$89,000 (RM248k). It features a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine producing 204 PS and 320 Nm of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The GLC 200 also includes a 48-volt mild-hybrid system offering a 23 PS/205 Nm boost. It achieves a fuel consumption rate of 7.2 litres per 100 km and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.8 seconds. The Avantgarde trim includes 19-inch wheels and distinct exterior styling compared to the GLC 300. Given its mechanical similarities with the GLC 300, the GLC 200 could potentially be introduced to the Malaysian market at a more affordable price point, estimated around RM320k.
