Jeep unveiled the Wrangler Whitecap special edition featuring a white roof, grille inserts and 1941 decals honouring the military CJ. Offered on Rubicon and Sahara with 2.0T (274PS) or 3.6L V6, the package adds roughly US$3,185 to the Rubicon base price.

Spotted at MobilityX Asia 2025, the CAM EV Microvan is a rebadged Nextem Vaquita from Hong Kong. The 3.5 m-long, 1.24 m-wide cab-chassis offers 2.14 m³ cargo space and 255 kg payload. A 15.97 kWh LFP battery feeds a rear motor in 13.6 or 20.4 PS tunes, both with 105 Nm and 80 km/h top speed; 3.3 kW AC charging gives 150 km range. Multiple bodies (tipper, washer, coffee truck) are possible, but Malaysia will launch the high-box van in Q2 2026 for around RM 65,000.

Great Wall’s ORA brand will launch its first SUV, the ORA 5, on the evening of Dec 16. Positioned as a retro-styled compact BEV, it lists five variants priced ¥109.8-142.8k with two range options. Top trim adds LiDAR and city/highway Navigate-on-Autopilot functions.

On 12 Dec, Xpeng inked a CKD agreement with EPMB’s unit PEPS-JV (Melaka), shifting G6 and X9 from CBU imports to local assembly for Malaysia. With import-duty exemption ending 31 Dec 2025 and CKD incentives running through 2027, the move secures tax-free positioning. EPMB already assembles GWM, BAIC and MG vehicles at the same Melaka plant.

The Malaysia-spec RHD Jetour T2 debuts in showrooms: 4,785×2,006×1,875mm, 2,800mm wheelbase, 220mm ground clearance. A 2.0L TGDi delivers 245PS/375Nm via a 7-speed wet DCT and X-Intelligent 4WD. Standard kit includes LED lights, 19" wheels, panoramic roof, 10.25" digital cluster, 15.6" infotainment with wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, Sony 12-speaker audio, powered leather seats with memory and full L2 ADAS. Pre-order at RM178,888 (RM1k booking); initial CBU batch will switch to CKD, with final pricing in Q1 2026.

Ford’s mid-size Zhiqu Liema SUV will hit the market on Dec 19, priced ¥229.8-282.8k during pre-sale. Inspired by Bronco Sport but urbanized, both range-extender and BEV versions span 5025 mm on a 2950 mm wheelbase. The minimalist cabin packs a 15.6" 2.5K Mini-LED screen, Snapdragon 8255 SoC, 70" AR-HUD, 21-speaker audio and a 7.5 L climate-controlled fridge, targeting smart off-road and city driving alike.
