Toyota Motor Europe (TME), in collaboration with BMW Group, Bosch, and Repsol, has announced the launch of a pioneering six-month pilot project in Spain to demonstrate the real-world potential of Vehicles running Exclusively on Eligible Fuels (VEEF). Launched in early July 2026, the initiative will deploy a fleet of around 20 Toyota and BMW vehicles powered by Repsol's 100% renewable gasoline (Nexa 95), supported by Bosch's advanced digital fuel tracking system. The all-new BMW X5 M60 has been spied in prototype form ahead of its expected 2027 debut. The Stelato G9 has become the first vehicle to secure Beijing's L3 autonomous driving test license at 120 km/h. The large SUV employs a multi-sensor fusion system combining LiDAR, vision, and mmWave radar, featuring an automotive-grade 896-line LiDAR. It passed simulation, closed-course testing, and four safety validations: functional safety, SOTIF, cybersecurity, and data security.
